Had an overnight stay at this hotel - whilst attending a concert at Liverpools Stadium. Don’t be put off by the approach to this hotel down an industrial estate. Once inside the facilities are a good standard. We had a suite on the fourth floor which comprised of a good seating / work area with sofa, table & chairs and tea, coffee and fridge. Bathroom had shower over bath with glass shower screen. Bedroom had wardrobe, tv and very comfy 6ft bed with plenty of pillows. Didn’t have opportunity to use the spa facilities but this did look nice. Parking onsite is secure and included within our deal. We also had breakfast again within our deal. This was excellent with a decent choice of both fresh fruits and pastries along with the usual full English. Wouldn’t hesitate to use this hotel again if in the area.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights (Dinner B&B) and overall I would say that the positives outweighed the negatives. We were very happy with the staff, who were friendly, polite and accommodating. The food was good quality and portions generous - the buffet breakfast was excellent with the hot food being the best breakfast we’ve had in a uk hotel. Located just off the M57 motorway, with lots of free parking, the hotel looks to be a favourite with travelling contractors. On the negative side, the outer aspect of the building looks rather tired with the ambience of a soviet apartment block. The double glazed windows are also very dated and do nothing for the internal look of the rooms. The internal decor also shows signs of wear and tear with scuff marks on the walls, door frames and skirtings. The finishing on the bathroom fittings is also poor. Given that Best Western are promoting the hotel as ‘Premier Suites’ with spa facilities, the overall look of the premises, internally and externally, doesn’t live up to the billing. One particular niggle, was that in our bedroom, there were no bedside lamps, so if we wanted to read in bed, we had to have the ceiling led lights on which rather shone in our eyes - also the off switch for those lights was near the door to the room, which was some distance from the beds. As for the restaurant, the food quality was good, although choices on the 2 course set menu were limited. The staff are friendly and helpful, though on the first evening of our stay, service was slow as they didn’t have enough staff on to meet the demand. The other issue with the restaurant and bar area, was that they constantly had a commercial radio station playing over the p.a. which we found annoying, particularly with the adverts. So if you’re expecting a quiet dinner for two, you’re going to be disappointed. But having said all that, it’s a hotel that clearly popular with the many contractors who stay there, and they may not be too bothered about the things we found to be negatives. It was conveniently located for the appointments we had locally, so we would probably stay there again. We didn’t use the spa facilities, so can’t comment on those.
