Had been in an apartment at no.25 before and thought I would try it as an alternative to a hotel for a night . We were very impressed ,nice and warm (might be very warm in summer though as windows didn't seem to open ) lots of room ,comfortable bed ,pillows low so needed 2 of them .Bed was 2 singles together but didnt move .Our bedroom was at back of the building so quieter as not near road but the pigeons n a strange tapping noise would keep you awake if you didnt use ear plugs .Needed a bedside light of some sort but thankfully we had book lights which were handy .Not sure why there's not a sink plug or basin to wash dishes especially as there's no dishwasher ? A dishcloth scourer and tea towel n washing up liquid is provided tho .Check in details were sent just before 3pm .There was a cleanliness issue I had to highlight which hopefully won't be repeated .We visit Liverpool a few times a year and using the Castle Collection again in summer so will make sure I ask for a fan for next visit .

“Great location, clean and comfortable city centre apartment.”

Stayed for 3 nights whilst attending a conference and exhibition at Liverpool Exhibition Centre. Great city centre location and about a 20 minute walk to the exhibition centre. Stayed for 3 nights whilst attending a conference and exhibition at Liverpool Exhibition Centre. Great city centre location and about a 20 minute walk to the exhibition centre. The apartment was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable and everything worked that I wanted to use. The kitchenette was handy and fine for self catering if you wanted that option. As well as the small Sainsbury's next door, there's a Tesco Metro and a proper M & S a couple of minutes walk away. There are also plenty of pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants close by. The coverings on the dining chairs were worn and tatty, the seal around the shower tray had failed in a number of places and was a bit mouldy and the bottom of the bathroom door was quite badly damaged. Nothing to spoil my stay, just a bit of maintenance required.

The location is great and the apartment was clean and modern but we stayed in apartment 109 at the end of a very hot week & it was uncomfortably hot. No air con, windows only slightly opened and just stifling. I requested a fan which was dropped off but I don't know why it wasn't already there (and more than one!) considering how hot it was. Some of the furniture (the dining chairs) is shabby and the bedroom had a section where paint was peeling off the wall. The toilet makes a very loud sound whenever it is flushed. Overall it was average, the location is what makes it but for the price I did expect better.

We had 3 nights in Apartment 108 at 42 Castle Street at the end of a summer heatwave. When we arrived the apartment was boiling hot and stifling. The apartment is west-facing with full afternoon sun, no air conditioning, sealed windows and no (or totally inadequate?) ventilation. On request, we were promptly provided with a small fan, which made a marginal difference. Even after the heatwave ended the apartment was still stiflingly hot, making sleeping at night difficult. The apartment itself was nice enough and generally well equipped. Some of the furniture was tatty (eg dining room chairs which should have been replaced long ago). Some bulbs blown in the bedroom light. The double bed is short, so feet hang way over the end of the bed if you're 6 feet tall. Noisy plumbing in the bathroom. Overall, a great location in the centre of Liverpool but a less than wonderful stay. We booked direct (not through a 3rd party website) and fully paid months in advance, yet received a disappointing room.
