We spent more than 2 weeks here (May 2026). In a way it was a home away from home. Staff: 10/10 The staff are friendly and cheerful. They were very responsive when we messaged prior to landing there. Our request for bag storage when we went on overnight trips from their place was accepted (A huge Plus). A suggestion to the manager was promptly taken up. He said they are figuring out how to implement it. Inside the room: 9/10 The rooms were well maintained including the kitchenette. The crockery, cutlery, utensils were well maintained and of good quality. The aircon maintained the temp well. The safe was good enough for our laptop. The one thing we felt they should re-look is at the availability of hair conditioner. This one is going to be always an issue - the cupboard space. I think they should have paid more attention to create some more space. Location: 9.5/10.0 With the Elizabeth line just 300m away, travel to the airport with large luggage was not an issue at all. We were very apprehensive about it before we went. The other trains (esp. District) at Whitechapel (and we never used Aldgate East) made commute to almost everything we wanted to do fairly easy. We also made use of the bus extensively. The stop was bang in front of the hotel. Neighborhood: 8.5/10 This one is a little controversial. We were not perturbed by it. We did not find any safety issues. One night we came back pretty late after a west-end show and it was safe. We stayed on the main roads of course. However, it's pre-dominantly a Muslim/ Bangaldeshi neighborhood. This could bother some people. Breakfast: Not Observed. We never had breakfast at the hotel. We thought it was too pricey. Though every morning when we were ready to go, we saw the breakfast place very busy with people. Restaurants Nearby: Not rated. We had planned our eating out at various places so we did not land up eating nearby. But there were reasonable places around and if you were to go about 10 minutes away to Brick Lane - plenty of options. Again you will see Asian and Islamic food easily. Interesting small things: 1. The washing machine had a self dispensing detergent. Wish it was made clear upfront. They are a little pricey at 4 GBP (washing) and 3 GBP (drying). 2. They provided all the cleaning stuff in the kitchen. Salt and pepper is provided. 3. They had a hand weighing scale which was pretty accurate. We knew the baggage weight properly before we reached the airport. Room View & Windows: Not rated Our long stay room had a view of the main road. Nothing spectacular but fine. The window (or rather the glass lookout) was fairly sound proof - just a couple of times we faintly heard some sirens. Then our short stay room was a bigger and more comfy room. However it peered into the back alleys. It did not bother us. It gave us an idea why people said be careful of using back alleys late into the night. This one we could hear the sirens little more often and definitely louder. Cost: 9.5/10 Well something I would not normally give a very high rating... but I should say for the location, the comfortable feel and a well appointed room - I would give this. Further in all my research I could not find anything comparable at this price point for a cancellable booking till about 3 days prior (except when a friend pointed out a serviced apartment nearby). We were looking for a 24/7 manned place and this fitted it better. Overall: If you are planning a lot of days in London as a tourist - it's a good place. If you are planning to fix your own breakfast (which is what we did most days) and a few dinners this one works out well. If you want more space - then a serviced apartment is the only alternative. If you want to see St. Paul's from your room and want to be at the centre of action look at Covent Garden/ West End and be willing to fork out a significant premium. [This was all based on my earlier research]. I found it valuable to book directly with them. Final decision: If I had to come back for a holiday to London, I would definitely pick this until something like this comes up in the West End area for a similar price. In fact I would now consider the Accor group elsewhere when we travel thanks to this place.
