We had a 2 bedroomed apartment. It was spacious clean and very modern with good quality fixtures and good value for money. The pool is small but adequate. There were no pans of any description for cooking with which seemed very odd! We opted for breakfast. It’s table service which I was looking forward to as I’m not keen on buffet breakfast. Was the quality of the food we were served was very good. The service was utterly shambolic. On the second morning of our stay there were six errors with our breakfast including being given items we hadn’t ordered, being given items we specifically said we didn’t want, not being given items we had asked for and everything took an absolute age. I asked for a 2nd cup of coffee it never appeared so I got up to ask again and could see lots of servers just milling around doing nothing much at all so I asked again. after a further 10 minute wait it still hadn’t appeared so we gave up and left. It would appear there was no one managing the serving staff or coordinating what was going on. there were plates of food piled up on the servery yet nobody taking them out to customers. If you’re thinking of having breakfast here, make sure you allocated at least an hour and a half to do it.

“Good cheap stay”

Two Citysuites next door so confusing if your using booking.com etc it doesn’t say one or 2. Otherwise Good location, comfy enough, decent rooms fairly tidy, good breakfast

I stayed here for business 3 nights. My studio room was very well-presented with a nice bathroom and shower. However, while I do love a very firm mattress, the bed felt like it was just a box spring or wooden plank. The duvet was very thin. I asked for a second duvet and the receptionist embarrassingly pulled out a price list. They actually wanted to charge me to rent a second one. It felt like a scam. Even Travelodge, etc., would give you a second one for no charge. While the heating in the room worked, the thermostat was inaccurate. I had it cranked up to 29 to make it feel 21/22. The pool and jacuzzi area is really nice, but could do with a separate male/female changing room. There are 2 lifts in the property. One was out-of-service the whole time with no obvious plan to repair it. The operating one was very slow and temperamental. The breakfast is unfortunately located in another building meaning you may need a jacket to get there and could have to walk through a bit of rain. The food was nice, but it was a la carte, which is really not convenient for business travellers who want to grab something quick before heading to work. Saying that- the service was fast. However, they were stingy abuut continental items and a bit inflexible about substitutions. On the third day they would not allow me to drink my diet pepsi that I brought with me (first and second day- no problem with that). Would have preferred a buffet set-up. Overall, this is not a bad place to stay. The location is good and it is mostly well-presented. However, it is NOT five star as the booking app I used has it listed as.

Really disappointing experience at Embankment Kitchen. Despite booking a table in advance, we were left waiting far too long. When we arrived, several staff members were clearly present but nobody acknowledged us or even said, “we’ll be with you shortly.” We were simply left standing there wondering what was going on. Service throughout was extremely slow and disorganised. There appeared to be very little communication between staff, which showed in the lack of coordination and attention. When we tried to raise concerns, the response felt dismissive and at times argumentative, rather than solution focused. The overall attitude came across as not particularly bothered about the customer experience. To make matters worse, a teenager in our group was served what looked like a small children’s portion, which was frustrating given the prices being charged. Overall, poor service, long waits despite booking, lack of attention, and an unwelcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, not somewhere we would return to.
