We have returned from a 1 night, AI offer for 4 friends, which all came with a free afternoon tea as a choice of upgrades. So £86.70 each was fab value. Hotel is dated but rooms were comfy and had all we needed. Afternoon tea was lovely. Evening meal is now a £25 allowance not 3 courses included as was the package last year, and for me covered my main and a side of peppercorn sauce, steak and lamb Henry were both £25 each so we needed to pay extra for starters/sides, not an issue. Portions were huge too. AI drinks are in the bar/restaurant area and the hotel was extremely busy so not enough seating for guests in the lounge area for after our meal. Drinks were served 1 per person at a time and had enough variety included, some guests took the AI a little too far, over consuming wine! Breakfast was plentiful and we ended the trip with a late checkout of £10 per hour to use the leisure area, which was a small pool, sauna and steam room, jacuzzi was out of order.

Lovely place, me and my partner went for my Birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We did the wildwood hot tub experience and we loved it so much we booked it again for the next day (so relaxing) 😀 🌟 The staff were very helpful, shout out to EMILY as she was very polite and helpful and nothing was too much for her. ❤️ 🌟 🌟 Beautiful countryside walks surrounding the hotel including the forest and a lovely lake, and a very short walk to the shops and lots of restaurants. 🌟 Our evening meal was 10/10 delicious!! Complements to the chef!! However all that being said there was a down side that I feel I need to mention and that was the pool area! Very out of date and the main swimming pool needed a good clean/ refurbish(water was green) , the shower in the pool area was broken and only offered ice cold water which let the hotel down ( we specifically chose the old mill for the pool) :( And the breakfast in the morning was overcooked and dry.

We had an absolutey lovely stay at this hotel. I would recommend booking the hotel tub, it was a lovely relaxing experience which involved a glass of prosecco which was very nice. The all inclusive drinks were very good, we upgraded so I worked my way through the flavoured gins although there was a very good drink selection without the upgrade. The star of the stay was our evening meal cooked by Finn - get the steak and ale pie with homemade chips or the Tuscan chicken and go hungry as the portions are generous! Breakfast was ok - good selection but not as nice as the evening meal (sausage/bacon/black pudding a little dry, scrambled egg good) I had to knock off a star for the bed though as we had a very bad night's sleep in a small, hard, uncomfortable bed and we're usually very good sleepers. Staff were all very friendly especially Katy the night bar lady with the magnificent red hair who was chatty, friendly and funny and Finn the chef who cooked our food in the evening and did a tremendous job. We'd go back for the food alone!!!!!
