On first impressions the hotel does look a bit dated. Our first night was a little disappointing as the bed was very uncomfortable. However the staff were excellent and quickly remedied the issue, greatly improving our other two nights. All of the staff we came across including housekeeping were very helpful and always happy. The most important thing we experienced was that despite the hotel being quite an old building everything was absolutely immaculate. Overall one of the cleanest rooms we have stayed in recently.

“Simple and Clean Hotel on the High Street”

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights, we found the facilities to be perfect for what we needed. It is similar to a Premier Inn, nothing fancy. It is an older hotel, and could use some upgrades, but for us, we found it met our needs. Room and Bathroom were clean. There are lots of shops and small restaurants within 5-6 minutes walking distance on the High Street. The Front Dest and Kitchen staff were great, we never saw the Room Service staff, but our beds were made and room cleaned every day while we were out. We stayed in one the of Deluxe Twin Rooms, ours was located on the 2nd floor in the back building of the hotel. The room was spacious, and quiet. The air conditioning worked well and was not noisy. The water pressure was excellent and plenty of hot water. The Wi-Fi is good and free. Breakfast is not included in the room rate but was a reasonable UKL 12.95/person. The breakfast was quite good, including the option to order eggs from the kitchen. We had dinner there one night with friends and everyone agree the Indian food selection was excellent and very tasty. Price was very reasonable. We averaged UKL 30/person for a Starter, and Main Dish, including beer and wine. Our friends that live nearby said they will be back for Indian food there again. There is no mini-fridge in the room, and no in-room safe, but you can leave valuables in the safe at the front desk. They do not have laundry service; this would be useful for guests staying more than one or two nights. My only real complaint is there are not enough electrical outlets in the room, at least not in our room. There were no electrical outlets near head of the beds for charging phones, etc. One outlet at the desk that was it. Thankfully I have learned to always bring an extension cord with multiple outlets, so we got by.
