“The great Double tree hotel”
Arrived at the hotel to a very warm welcome. Very friendly staff who are more than happy to help. Lovely room, very clean & spacious (dog friendly to). Large car park with easy access to the hotel. “Clean room food for breakfast ok”
Room clean and comfy staff friendly. Parking charge a bit of a shock however most places you have to pay for parking. Breakfast was a choice however some of the tables could do with a clean down. But food ok. Ideal place to stay and it was a quick walk to where we needed to be

“Lovely comfy room”
Arrived in the evening to a red carpet entrance into reception as a prom was being held there! This did mean the main restaurant was closed but the bar was open with a food menu. “Just about to close for good”
I've stayed here a few times (donkeys years ago) and was happy to come back. But because the hotel is just about to shut for a major renovation and brand change, things were not as good as previous stays. The telephone system no longer works (external and internal). “Better than average but expensive”
Average well-known brand hotel. It is dog friendly and we had a convenient ground floor room which was larger than average. Everything was clean and comfortable, but overpriced for what you got. Plenty of parking. Pleasant staff. Don't bother with the restaurant.
