“100% A Must! Beds are 10/10!”
From parking on the doorstep, warm welcome and beautiful room (despite it all being renovated), this was a brilliant location for The Playhouse. “Seafront location, basic but comfy and welcoming”
Perfect location on the sea front. We really enjoyed staying. It is incredibly good value for such a location. Definitely not fancy, but the beds were comfy, the hotel was very quiet, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast and loved being able to park right outside. … more

“Whitley Bay visit”
The staff were very friendly. The hotel was in a great location facing the seafront. The Royal was excellent value for money. The room was clean and the bed was cosy. The breakfast was very good. It was tasty with a good selection of hot and cold items.

The hotel was being renovated at time of my stay but I suspect that was reflected in the price as it was excellent value for money, two night stay with breakfast for £90.
