“Could Not Fault It”
Excellent location right in the centre with a welcoming team and bottles of water on the desk which was much needed and a good thought. The room was excellent with a good shower and the breakfast was well worth it. I would happily stay there again if/when I go back to York

“Always Top Notch”

“Book it up 👍”
We stayed at Galtres Lodge Hotel for a couples’ weekend in June and had a wonderful stay. The location is absolutely perfect – right in the heart of York, with everything within easy walking distance. Waking up to the Minster bells in the morning was such a lovely, quintessentially York experience.… more

“First class accommodation and convenient for shopping areas.”
I have visited the Galtres with my husband a few times before and it still remains a first class hotel. Not only is it near to the Minster but has immediate access to the shopping areas. “Very Central”
This hotel couldn’t possibly be more central, and I loved this aspect of it. My large window opened onto the bustling thoroughfare of Low Petergate and it was great to be in the midst of the buzz.
