“Faultless stay”

Two night stay ,had room 530 , Easy check in ,nice clean spacious room ,big flat screen tv and fridge ,there’s building work going off besides the hotel but it didn’t affect our stay at all , Breakfast was plentiful and hot, A really enjoyable stay . Thank you

My mum and I stayed overnight and we really enjoyed our stay. Reception staff very friendly . I didn’t catch her name but there was a lovely lady who checked us in and out the next day who wore glasses and had reddish hair I think. My mum and I stayed overnight and we really enjoyed our stay. Reception staff very friendly . I didn’t catch her name but there was a lovely lady who checked us in and out the next day who wore glasses and had reddish hair I think. Room was comfy , huge shower , mini fridge , plug sockets in helpful places unlike other hotels, full size hairdryer rather than a slow travel one . Breakfast was really nice good selection. Our only issue was there was a giant smart tv but we couldn’t get any channels to work and there was only about 5 apps which we struggled to sign into and then none of the normal freeview channels either . We disconcerted this late on when we arrived back from going out and just fancied some tv before bed so not a massive deal but for such a big tv it was a shame ! Overall wonderful shay though. Fairly good location about 15-20 mins from the station

“A comfortable hotel with a good breakfast at a reasonable price.”

A nice hotel in a good location near to the city centre the staff were polite and friendly Breakfast was included in the price and it and there was lots of choice the room was nice and comfortable and the price was reasonable I would recommend we enjoyed are stay.

“Ok but fails to meet the expectations taken from the room cost”

Everything was ok. That really is also the problem I have with it. Because the price paid - well over £200 for 1 night - wasn’t at an “ok” price range. Sure, it had a Smeg fridge, but we didn’t use it and honestly if we had we’d not really have cared what brand it was. Maybe though we’d have chosen… more

Everything was ok. That really is also the problem I have with it. Because the price paid - well over £200 for 1 night - wasn’t at an “ok” price range. Sure, it had a Smeg fridge, but we didn’t use it and honestly if we had we’d not really have cared what brand it was. Maybe though we’d have chosen one whose door didn’t stick out quite so far into an already cramped room. The bed was ok, the TV was ok, the wall art was ok. The curtains worked. The AC worked. The lift worked. The door card worked (first time too) The breakfast was ok, yet for the English breakfast had only ok bacon, less than ok sausage, ok tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns and scrambled eggs (no poached or fried). 2 varieties of mini pastries. A slightly gimmicky and slow waffle making machine with a messy counter (think Pizza Hut ice cream factory after the 5th kids party of the day) and a few of the other usual bits and pieces alongside the standard machine coffee maker. Throughout the room and hotel nothing stood out (except the aforementioned Smeg fridge door). Nothing screamed “I’m worth the extra £100 for this over other hotel options”. I’m not sure the usual cost of 1 night is comfortably over £200 but if they are prepared to increase the prices in school holiday times then they should expect to be compared to other hotels at the same price range, and in that comparison they fail. None of it was bad, but equally none of it was great. Unless you’re hugely into Smeg appliances I suppose.
