We recently stayed at the Thurrock Hotel to celebrate my 40th birthday, where we held a party function with family and friends. From the beginning, Trisha was absolutely amazing in helping us organise everything. She and Elyse on the reception were so helpful, professional and made the whole setting up process feel stress-free. Nothing was too much trouble, and thanks to their support, the evening ran smoothly and everyone had a fantastic night. As many of our family were travelling, several stayed overnight at the hotel, which made the celebration even more special. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and really enjoyable, making it a lovely stay for everyone. We also wanted to give a special mention to Maddison, one of the young ladies serving breakfast the next morning, who went above and beyond. She was friendly, attentive, and made everyone feel welcome, helping to round off a brilliant weekend perfectly. Thank you to Trisha, Maddison, Elyse and the whole team for helping make my 40th birthday celebration so memorable. We would definitely recommend the Thurrock Hotel and look forward to visiting again.

“Cheap and Cheerful - Exatly what I needed!”

This was a quick stop over on a work trip. All I needed was a clean bed and bathroom and that’s what I got. Yes it’s dated and there’s no fanciness but you get what you pay for! Staff very polite and helpful. Big thanks!

Best Western Thurrock Hotel is a good hotel if you need a place to stay and relatively cheap. It’s in a good location for Lakeside shopping centre, the M25 and the dartford bridge. Best Western Thurrock Hotel is a good hotel if you need a place to stay and relatively cheap. It’s in a good location for Lakeside shopping centre, the M25 and the dartford bridge. The entrance to the hotel itself needs refreshing as the road is damaged with slight potholes so if visiting make sure to go slowly. Once on the grounds of the hotel there was good amount of parking and wheelchair friendly walkway to get into the hotel with a ramp. The reception on arrival is lovely and very welcoming, the hotel itself is very large and has a lot of bedrooms and suites as they host weddings. Short walk upstairs to the rooms, no lift so be aware when booking if you cannot do stairs. The rooms themselves need a really good renovation, they are very outdated, but a good large size. The first room (121) we checked into was horrible. The pipes for the taps were very loud and the smell from the drains were potent. We spoke to reception and they moved us with ease and they were fantastic about that, finding another room quickly and letting us view it first before choosing due to the past room being bad. The second room we checked into was great, minus the outdated carpet and VERY squeaky floorboards which definitely need to be looked at. The bathroom at a good size and renovated well with no bad smells or stains. The bed was comfy and it was a lovely night to sleep. Would stay again but this hotel definitely needs upgrading :)
