First time visit to the Leonardo Hotel in Aberdeen Booked as we have theatre tickets at the tivoli theatre just opposite the hotel. The main entrance to the hotel is accessed via the union square shopping centre and the hotel is on the 1st floor level ( lifts and escalator are there for anyone with mobility issues ) If like us you are at theatre or will be out later than 11pm the union Square centre closes the doors at 11pm there is another door to allow access into the hotel. Which is on the street itself, You can gain access by using your key card which then brings you into a small lobby where the lifts are We were warmly greated by Sophie, who also gave us a couple of vouchers , one for a free hot drink during our stay and the other for a 10% off any food purchased The hotel itself has a few notices up saying card payment only , these are in the reception and bar areas Room was a deluxe double, very spacious. Iron and ironing board in room along with a small fridge with complimentary couple of bottles of water. Bathroom was ok, had bath / overhead shower and sink And the toilet was at the side, so if Bathroom door was open the toilet was behind the door. There is a menu in your room, ( also has a 24 hour room service menu ) but also a few cards with qr codes to allow you to view other things that the hotel offers , Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice for continental and hot selections,2 toaster, one needed two passes to toast the bread to a light brown. Hot items were very nice and actually hot Breakfast staff topped up dishes quickly, cleared away plates from tables so breakfast area was always clean We ate in on the sat night 1 steak frites with peppercorn sauce 1 fish and chip 1 irn bru 1 appetiser All in with out 10% voucher was just under £45 Couple of little niggles with the meals The peppercorn sauce was very salty Steak itself was fine And my other half said the fish was soggy, if he had said right at the start I would have said to the staff to get another one, but he never said till he had finished most of the fish Overall the main meals were OK, but really could have been better but there are various restaurants just outside as the 1st floor in Union square shopping centre is primarily reastrants and eateries Came back from theatre to have a few drinks in the bar Pint of corona £6 Single glenfiddich £8 Large rose wine £9.50 / £11.50 depending on your choice Bar staff very friendly Would gladly stay again , staff very friendly, nice size rooms

“Great location.”

Nice hotel. Rooms very large however only a double bed, a king size would have bern great. Very quiet rooms and the breakfast was perfect! Great location as part of Union Square snd very close to the multi-story car park at the station. Would definitely return.

Very nice welcome from Lewis. Our room was very nice. Buffet breakfast was good although running out of some items on the Saturday; Sunday was calmer. Morgan worked her socks off, lovely helpful girl. Only slight downside is that hotel is just out of town and for us, a long walk. Would definite… more

Stayed 2 nights for wife’s 73 birthday, hotel is in a great location , all the staff we encountered were absolutely fantastic , the breakfast was good , one complaint was quality of sleep , we were on top floor facing the harbour and the noise that came from air conditioning grills were nothing we have encountered before, perhaps lower floors are not affected? But the staff were that good I still gave it 4 Stars .
