The location is perfect for official occasions at Holyrood Palace. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room extremely comfortable . I would return without hesitation

My experience rescheduling a nearly out of date voucher after a long illness, for two spa treatments, at the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood could not have been more reassuringly helpful and encouraging in my phone conversations. On two separate occasions staff were considerate, friendly and proactive on my behalf. On the day itself, the FOH staff were genuinely interested and had a positive energy about them. My therapist, Casey, was excellent. Patient, sensitive and attentive. And with a gentle spirit that belied the welcome strength and technique in application of her massage. I had a lovely skin tingling Elemis facial, alongside Casey's considered advice, and a back, neck and scalp massage that awakened and soothed my body in equal measure. Both sessions were 25mins each but ample in their quality. Also included was use of spa facilities including the relaxation room (exploited for my own personal yoga nidra) and the swimming pool for a few measured laps. The entire experience was a very positive reset for me, elevated by the friendliness and kindness of the team of staff who assisted my booking. Thank you 🤗

“Nice hotel but 'meh' experience”

A little quieter than the Apex, Waterloo, it's located a stone's throw away from the Planetarium with plenty of good eateries closeby. Station is about a 15 min walk. A little quieter than the Apex, Waterloo, it's located a stone's throw away from the Planetarium with plenty of good eateries closeby. Station is about a 15 min walk. Rooms were spacious and breakfast was good. Pool is also a little larger and closes at 9:45pm during the week. Housekeeping wasn't great and we discovered a bag with a mini camera under our bed after checking in which we turned in once we checked out. I stated this in the follow up guest email experience sent to me and Dylan, whom I would assume is in guest services, sends me the following response. The item was discovered under the bed a couple of days after we checked in. We were there for 4 days and had early morning tours each day. "With regard to the belongings found in your room, we appreciate you mentioning this at check-out. However, we would encourage you to report any concerns of this nature to our Front Office team immediately during your stay. This allows us to investigate the matter straight away, resolve the issue promptly, and, where appropriate, offer an alternative room if required." Not sure if he expected me immediately run down to the front desk screaming from the top of my lungs and what they would have done beyond offering an apology, which was done at checkout. I do find the email slightly berating. I do hope the item is reunited with its owner.
