“A refuge of peace and graciousness in the heart of a very busy city”

“Lovely place to stay”
We only stayed one night, was welcomed at 10 pm. Got shown around. Rooms are simple, clean and comfy bed. Just what you need. Breakfast was lovely, wide variety of food. Staff were helpful too. Only a 5 minute taxi ride to the City Centre or Bus Stop outside the building. Grounds are lovely too W… more

“Beautiful, quiet surroundings: close but not in the city.”
Once we found it, we loved the beautiful Gillis Centre. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Rooms basic but comfortable. Breakfast plentiful. Nice alternative to hotel. Had to take a short bus ride to and from the city but got to see more of Edinburgh because of that. Would stay there again.

“Four days at the Gillis Centre during the 2017 Fringe Festival”
It was a bit of a last-minute decision to go to the Fringe and accommodation was over-priced everywhere in the city. The rooms were basic but clean and well-maintained.
