“So central you can look Sir Walter in the eyes”
Location, location, location and more location! The only drawback is the staircase before you reach the reception desk, but this is the oldest hotel in Edinburgh so some period features are inevitable. “Hotel very central a listed building so nil double glazing on windows …street noise”
Arrival via the difficult heavy door to open….then a full flight of stairs until you arrive at reception…..no lift available due to this being a listed building……a good stay although windows are not double glazed so pretty noisy in rooms…nil double glazing due to again being a listed building…..rat… more
