I had a really enjoyable stay here this July. The room was spotless, thoughtfully designed and had plenty of space for a night away. I loved the huge square bed and the large window, which gave the room a great atmosphere at night overlooking the city. The whole hotel has a modern, relaxed vibe that feels a bit different from your typical chain hotel. The bar, restaurant and lounge area were excellent, and I even noticed people using the space to work remotely while enjoying a coffee. It gave the hotel a welcoming, lived-in feel rather than somewhere people simply pass through. The Wi-Fi (yes, it was free) deserves a special mention too – refreshingly, it runs at actual 2026 speeds rather than "hotel Wi-Fi" speeds. The location is another big plus: an easy walk into the city centre while still feeling relaxed enough to escape the bustle when you return. My only suggestion would be to add a kettle to the rooms. As a Brit, the ability to make an emergency coffee at an ungodly hour feels almost like a basic human right! That said, I'll happily forgive the omission because the entire first floor is a brilliant restaurant/bar that serves coffee! Woo! And there's a wonderfully decorative horse in reception that more than made up for it... Although, sadly, it wouldn't fit in my bag at check-out. If you like your hotel stay served with a healthy dose of "vibes", real personality, great facilities and genuinely welcoming staff, citizenM Glasgow delivers. I'll happily stay here again the next time I'm in Glasgow.

“A tale of two storeys”

Stayed here 3 nights in July 2026. We booked 2 rooms, both rooms are described as accessible 231 & 331. My wife and daughter on 3rd floor and my son and I on 2nd. Stayed here 3 nights in July 2026. We booked 2 rooms, both rooms are described as accessible 231 & 331. My wife and daughter on 3rd floor and my son and I on 2nd. The rooms are identical but the service to each room was the niggle. You have to book cleaning through the iPad in each room, do this as soon as you arrive. The room on the third floor had the towels changed and bed made up every day. Second floor had towels changed and buckets emptied but no bed made up, this irks me somewhat. Identical rooms different level of service. The 2nd floor room, the climate control never worked, our room was too hot and stuffy, all this is during the summer months in a particular hot spell. I asked at reception, the answer was to reset the room through the computer system, failing that they would supply us a room fan. This 'fix' was not great. The fan is noisy and not what I expect for a hotel chain of this stature, after all it's not a cheap room in a 1970s hotel in Turkey. Usually you can only wonder if it is the 'standard' of the hotel, but this time I had comparison. The room on the 3rd floor, directly above mine, had a cool room climate, quiet during the night and overall a much better experience. If I'd been in that room I'd have had a much better time. Overall the hotel is very nice, great lounge area and bar, just sullied by my room issues. I'm not sure if I'd come back. In retrospect I should have asked for a swap of rooms. During our stay, only one of the lifts worked. For a multistorey hotel, this needs remedied immediately. There is always a wait for a lift, so much so that mainly used the stairs. This would be unacceptable if you were unable to use the stairs.
