Excellent location that was so convenient for most of the things that Glasgow has to offer. Walking out of the city, either along the river or more directly through the long, straight streets and then catching a bus back, was our modus operandi. Continental Breakfast was fine, though we never got used to their coffee, in spite of much experimentation. Biggest negative was a ‘rogue’ contractor unlocking our door and seeking entry to the room whilst we both lay naked on the bed late one hot afternoon. That did put a dampener on the stay, as you can imagine.

Bit of a mixed review here because some good, some bad experiences on our 2 night stay. Booked Prem Plus room which was definitely good because it was quiet, clean, modern etc but came with “ultimate WiFi” which I never received a code for. In fact the WiFi here is awful. Dining room was freezing cold with the air-con set far too low despite the hot weather outside. Too uncomfortable to eat food. Food wise the usual menu was ok but I do feel PI need to make it clearer which items incur a surcharge. Staff wise again dining staff seemed lovely but others were a bit “cold/curt” and certainly didn’t make us feel “valued”. Great location but I need to think about other hotels next time we come to Glasgow because the people here are wonderful and friendly even to us English during the World Cup week!

positives - very central, decent size room, comfy bed, near to train station. negatives - had issue with an overcharge and receptionist (who when i asked for a manager stated she was it), was unhelpful in resolving the overcharge. was aggressive, showed no empathy and kept showing us the computer saying 'you have to pay this, thats what it says, i cant change it, i dont know why its that amount, and unless you pay it i cant check you in'. very unhelpful. then gave us a number for premier to ring and sort out the issue! after 10 mins on hold with premier customer service, was informed we would have to ring back in 2 days once the booking was finalised! in meantime premier emailed to say issue with price was due to being charged twice for breakfast. went back to reception, saw a lovely guy called Dean, who sorted out straight away THEIR error. Temperament not what i would expect of a manager at all, no customer service skills, no empathy and very brusque. Breakfast - usual decent choice but cold. Plates were cold (usually at other premier inns they are in a warmer), so as food was only tepid it was cold by the time you walked back to table. Outside was untidy, smokers in doorway (reception was 2 floors up) and not a welcome at all. cost us £400 for 2 days and not value for money at all.
