I had my wedding at the grand hotel and i can not thank Tegan and all her amazing team enough for making our day go so smoothly. All the staff were so kind caring and helpful throughout the day and always had a smile on their face. The food was outstanding and everyone complimented on how gorgeous the food was. Thank you doesn't sound enough for what you all did for me and my husband, we will be back and ill be recommending your beautiful hotel to everyone i meet. Xx

we booked 3 rooms for 7 people b and b. on arriving the Grand,it had all the hall marks of a once great hotel that needed TLC and a coat of paint. The entrance hall still had class but as you went up the floors you started to see the paint marked,carpets stained just a bit dated. the room was nice … more

we booked 3 rooms for 7 people b and b. on arriving the Grand,it had all the hall marks of a once great hotel that needed TLC and a coat of paint. The entrance hall still had class but as you went up the floors you started to see the paint marked,carpets stained just a bit dated. the room was nice and big ,but old windows and no air con made nights uncomfortable.perhaps those portable air con units to guests instead of fans,which just move the hot air about would be better. however i'd give staff 10 out of 10 and the lady from romania who works in restuarant extra points for being so professsional. Food 10 bar prices 10 location 10 parking spaces 10 2x swimming pools 10 rooms 6.points of for heat in rooms biggest let down was come the friday a wedding party arrived think the Clampets and youl get what i mean. 7 or 8men in their 40s ,50s started drinking at pool area. throwing hats into pool (very mature) there were elderly people and children about. then started singing just being obnixious.no intervention by management. worse was saturday after the wedding. they again took over the outside area., they were outside into the small hours of the morning,now as previously stated every bodys windows were open due to heat, we had to phone reception to ask why were they not being told to go back into bar area, and the staff member said they could be out there as long as they like, this was after 2.30 am this put a major damper on the holiday. all in all we will go back, only after asking if theres any weddings booked!
