Brilliant hotel. Thank you to Cara on reception who provided lots information about local area. Staff friendly. Spa okay staff could be disorganised in my opinion. Facilities good. Restaurant is okay. Breakfast was not exciting didn’t seem worth the money. Evening food in the restaurant okay. A bit hit and miss. The staff of the hotel were fantastic and very obliging. Enjoyed staying and would go back.

Where do I even start. I booked to stay here with the valley view room to propose to my girlfriend. I contacted the hotel with only 2 days notice where I dealt with hospitality manager Yogi. Yogi was absolutely fantastic I explained my plans and to say my plans were accommodated would be an understatement. On arrival I was met by Cara who was amazing throughout our stay my plans were on the notes Cara kept everything secretive from my partner a section of the restaurant reserved so we had the valley view the member of staff sorry I didn’t get his name was fantastic in capturing our moment and making sure the setting was perfect. This hotel was so clean the staff were incredible all round food was superb honestly such beautiful hotel staff and location. I can’t thank you all enough for making our special moment so perfect. The biggest thanks to Cara and yogi again you were both so amazing and customer service to the highest standard. Yogi surprised us with complimentary breakfast too just to top a beautiful stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and the valley view room was so worth the money! Views are breath taking. See you all again soon! Chris and Sarah!

We stayed at the Ixora Hotel for a two-night premium spa break and came away feeling rather conflicted about the experience. There were definitely positives. The hotel is conveniently located, reasonably priced, and the reception team were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The spa treatments themselves were excellent, with professional and attentive therapists who were a real credit to the hotel. Most of the public areas were clean, bright and welcoming. Unfortunately, several aspects of the experience fell short of what we would expect from a four-star hotel. Our room overlooked a flat roof and scrubby car park, which was disappointing. More concerning was the general standard of housekeeping. There were visible cobwebs and dust behind the window blinds, a significant build-up of dust and fluff under the bed, and a persistent humming noise throughout the night that appeared to be coming from ventilation, air conditioning or plumbing systems. The room simply felt tired and lacking in attention to detail. The restaurant and bar service was equally inconsistent. While staff were pleasant, service often felt disorganised. We experienced long waits at the bar despite there being very few customers ahead of us, plates were removed before we had finished eating on more than one occasion, while at other times used plates remained on the table long after the rest had been cleared. The overall impression was of a team that lacked coordination and confidence. The spa facilities themselves also need attention. The locker system was confusing and difficult to use, and several lockers appeared not to function properly. The steam room had an unpleasant odour and the cleanliness of some areas, including visible fluff and debris on the floor, detracted from what should have been a relaxing experience. Overall, the hotel feels as though it is in need of investment, maintenance and stronger operational management. Nothing was disastrously wrong, and we still enjoyed parts of our stay, particularly the treatments and the helpful reception staff. However, the property currently feels closer to a three-star experience than a four-star one. With some care, attention and refurbishment, it could be much better, but at present it feels somewhat tired and lacking the standards its rating suggests.
