Great value for money I have to say. The room and kitchen area were clean and tidy and as it happens we had it to ourselves, but there's plenty of space if any of the other five rooms are occupied. Great value for money I have to say. The room and kitchen area were clean and tidy and as it happens we had it to ourselves, but there's plenty of space if any of the other five rooms are occupied. We took a small TV from home and found reception no problem with our small aerial. No parking but if you drive up to the next roundabout and keep left on E Dock Road, there's plenty of on street parking in marked bays and you're ok between 6pm and 8am with 2 hours permitted either side so realistically it's 4pm till 10am. Friendly staff, and larger room than we expected. We'd definitely do this again.

Spent a couple of nights here while attending a concert in Cardiff centre. 10/15 minutes walk from station - plenty of trains to choose from. Limited parking available (£7.50/24 hrs) but secure. Easy access to/from main road. Rooms were very clean with shower wetrooms. Quiet location, with very easy access to the local Asda and Lidl. Common room shared between 5 rooms- fridge/freezer kettle etc etc. ( needed tea towel/s though). Mattresses were a bit worn, and could do with replacing but nevertheless the rooms were ok. Reception staffed 24 hours. Safe and secure.

Poor location if you're on foot or relying on buses. The bathroom was basic but acceptable. The single bed was slightly uncomfortable. The communal kitchen is well equipped and has a table and settees. The lack of TV or radio was negative, although the site is quiet. Staff are helpful and friendly.… more

There is both an Asda and Lidl within a 5 minute walk.

Fired Aisling for seemingly no reason and the place just isn't the same anymore, they have started getting rid of any staff that are fun and are good to talk to but somehow Belle is still employed, the allegations he has from dozens of different people for different reasons and general complaints of rudeness which I have also definitely experienced. He's been incredibly rude to me while living here and is useless to work on anything including not logging parcels in and being heavily reluctant to go get them for you, you have to ask multiple times. Absolutely astounding. The community atmosphere just is not the same as it was. Management needs to realise the reason student ambassadors big up the place is half because of this. The rooms are good and so is maintenance, the rooms are reasonably priced for a student accommodation and it's in a great area. Must mention how lovely Emma and Jake are too!

Stayed here just for one night while attending an event in Cardiff. We have stayed here previously pre covid. The rooms are basic, on a par maybe with an older Travelodge/premier inn place with a pod bathroom. For drinks, etc there is a kitchen shared between the 5 or 6 rooms with cups, glasses, tea, coffee, etc. get up early though - when I got there the fridge contained only three small sachets of milk !. No parking next door now, the nearest is Asda car park 5 mins away or the Kingsway centre maybe 10 mins walk. The latter is much cheaper by the way - currently £6.70 for 24 hours and it’s locked securely at night. Only downside ?. Well, like everyone else they have now jumped on the “Cardiff event rip off” pricing structure. Apparently rooms generally are £55-65 per night. We were charged £155.00 via booking.com which we were told was cheaper than if we booked direct.
