Apon arrival, after being warmly welcomed we were told we had been given an upgrade, free of change to a hill top lodge which sleeps 4/6 people. We were blown away and extremely grateful, we couldn't have asked for a better start to our holiday. To enter the site you drive up to a ANPR barrier. Gravel roads lead tou around the site which are perfectly wide enough for cars and caravans. Each lodge is numbered on the glass door and has designated parking. Our lodge (18) came with a veranda which had a table and 4 chairs. Inside was beautiful, a spacious L shaped living space with shelves and a cupboard, there was also a mirror with plug near by if wanting to do hair ect. The kitchen area was lovely, modern and clean and well equipped, a full sized fridge with a small freezer compartment, small toaster and kettle, full sized gas hob and oven. The cupboards were well equipped for 6 people with plates, bowls, wine glasses, glasses and mugs, cutlery and some cooking utensils, bin, dustpan and brush, chopping board, saucepans and a frying pan. The lodge came with two tv's, one in the lounge, and one in the dining area which was already converted into a double bed. The bathroom was lovely housing a toilet, sink with a cabinet above with a mirror and a lovely walk in shower which was very powerful and very hot, the only thing I would say is the shower floor can get quite slippy, we had to put a towel down in the shower so maybe a shower mat is needed. Plenty of towels were supplied and we were even asked mid week if we would like fresh towels. The bedding was extremely clean, fresh and white. Our lodge also had an upstairs which housed another double bed, two singles pushed together, with a window and plenty of lighting, the stairs leading up there are quite steep so be careful but can't be helped with the design of the lodge. One thing I can say is the lodge had plenty of lighting and plug/USB sockets which was great. It had plenty of storage with two wardrobes (some coat hangers included) cupboards, and draws under the sofa. Overall the lodge and everything and more that we needed, very moderm and felt very comfortable and safe. The site itself is lovely, we didn't use any of the facilities as we didn't need to but did have a walk around, the shower block was extremely clean, housing toilets, sinks, hairdryer, showers (which had a seat and hooks in) and a mop, unfortunately I can't comment on the power and heat of them. There is also a laundry room with phone charging lockers and a freezer ( for ice packs only), there was even laundry pods and fabric softner on the side, some boons and games can also be found in there. There is also a games room but it was locked when we went down, not sure if it closes at a certain time or you need a key. On Saturday evening a wood fire pizza van arrived along with a beer van which made for a lovely evening sitting in the vintage marquee. The site it quiet and well thought out, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will be coming back. What a fantastic job you and your team have done Daniel..
