“Great hotel, great location”

I stayed here two nights between stays in Buenos Aires and Montevideo. The hotel is about a 4 minute walk from the ferry terminal from Buenos Aires and a 2 minute walk to the bus station to Montevideo. It’s also close to the Main Street as well as the historic district. The owner and staff are very friendly and speak good English. They had lots of suggestions for good restaurants (go to El Porton) and where to see the best sunset. The room is clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower has lots of hot water and good water pressure. The WiFi signal was strong even in the room. The air conditioning and ceiling fan make the room very comfortable if it’s hot out. The free breakfast offers a lot of variety including scrambled eggs and pancakes. For the reasonable price you can’t beat this hotel. I highly recommend it.

When I arrived at Colonia del Sacramento by ferry, I just walked a few blocks until I found the first hotel, which turned out to be Hotel Rivera. It was a fine place to stay. I made quite a few excursions on foot. As a visiting birder, I spent much of my visit in the parks nearby; the hotel was a good base from which to explore. The owner and his staff were very helpful and friendly. It worked out very well when I wanted to rent a car--the rental office just up the block gave me a good price when I told them that I was staying at the Rivera. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. My room was comfortable and quiet. I would stay here again if I returned to Colonia del Sacramento.

“Smoking!, good location for transit, great staff and breakfast”

Overall, this is a wonderful little place, just up the street from the bus station and port. The breakfast has a lot of variety. My upstairs room, 209, was one of the six farthest from the street. Overall, this is a wonderful little place, just up the street from the bus station and port. The breakfast has a lot of variety. My upstairs room, 209, was one of the six farthest from the street. It's marked "no smoking", but there's a smoking table just outside room 208 (see the photo)! Ditto for rooms downstairs. This is a small enough hotel that there's probably no other place for smokers to go -- which means, if you get one of these rooms, you may not have a choice. It's one big flaw in an otherwise very nice place.

We stay there one night so not enough to write but budget friendly hotel and Nice and helpful staff. Room service is good. Food was nice in restaurant but buffe dose not like by my son it was not so attractive and eye catching food. And not enough option to chose
