The hotel was really nice. It had just been renovated. The people were helpful with any questions you needed answered. . The rooms were very quiet and everything was great. The location worked well for us. You were able to get right on the highway to get were you needed to go. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Madison and Huntsville area.

“Newly Renovated”

The hotel was clean and newly renovated. Everything worked, however the third floor is lagging behind in the completion of that effort. The internet signal there was so weak I could not connect. There was no third floor router showing, you had to use the 2nd floor one which was weak in my location.… more

The hotel was clean and newly renovated. Everything worked, however the third floor is lagging behind in the completion of that effort. The internet signal there was so weak I could not connect. There was no third floor router showing, you had to use the 2nd floor one which was weak in my location. The beds were new and marvelously comfortable. However I downrated the 'Sleep Quality' because of the curtain situation entirely. Note: I would only request a rear facing room on return if a reasonably dark room to sleep in is wanted. The front facing rooms are subject to deep penetration by the parking lot lights. The room windows only have very thin sheer panels which were blown about by the air conditioner. The windows do have a 'mod type' pseudo blind located between the window panes that do not quite fill the bill against the parking lot lights.

I'm the type of traveler, that likes to arrive at check in time. I didn't book a hotel beforehand because I knew I was going to arrive into the Huntsville area about 6pm. I do know you get what you pay for most of the time. This is a family owned hotel, with that being said, they have the right to establish their own rules. The major thing I wasn't aware of is they charge for extra people. My room needs some repairs, I won't go into all the details, but the toilet sits very low, the hotel serviced as a place to sleep for 1 night. I did take pictures to protect myself, I honesty don't know if my particular room was given to me because we have a service animal, I know some hotels do that, but I never experienced feeling that I got less than. I know I could have asked for a different room, but none of the issues were that bad for the hassle. The property smelt fresh, the host was polite and it had all the basics, refrigerator, microwave and cable.
