Second stay and lived up to expectations again. At the hotel for 4 nights. We book the Griffin level which provides access to breakfast, light lunch, snacks, and beverages throughout the day. Two Griffin lounge staff are fantastic: Robin and Indira. Robin is attentive and keeps the lounge looking great! Indira makes the most incredible omelettes! Every morning was a treat with them working :) With Griffin access, we spent most of our time at the Spa pool, it's lovely and quiet. No issues finding a chair or umbrella. I only wish they offered more "typical" pool food. We also booked chairs at the adults only pool for a day. It's enjoyable and worth it for a change up from the spa and not dealing with the throngs of people and kids. Room was as pictured and expected. Mini frig is nice to have. House keeping does an excellent job and worth leaving a few dollars each day as thanks. Lovely morning walks, great to see ducks, geese, and turtles in the pond and take a few minutes in the garden grounds. Workout facility is good and what I'd expect from a JW brand.

Had an overall very good stay at the Desert Ridge resort. Had an issue checking in on time and they very quickly resolved the issue in a very professional and customer service orientated manner. The grounds outside of the pool area are well maintained and everything feels really clean. Customer service was great all over, from inside and outside the hotel. Everyone working in the pool area was very nice and attentive. The slides are the pool, the lazy river were all fantastic and the family loved them. No problem getting beds either. It was easy to get around the property, rooms were good, and I liked having the Starbucks onsite for breakfast. Few downsides: The pool area needs to be cleaned every day, the amount of empty plastic ups lying around when we got in each morning is not the standard of a 5 star, this also applies to the small pool bedside tables, often very dirty. We found food under some beds from the day before. I paid $600 for a cabana, and while the set up inside was very good, there was bird poop over the seats, surely a wash down can be done early morning. The food and beverage rules at the pool need to be more flexible. You are not supposed to bring anything into the pool, but we needed snacks for our kids like chips and cereal bars (things they don't sell in the pool). Also, I had bought a bucket of beers one day at the pool, didn't finish them, so figured I could take them back in. Apparently not allowed. Would I return, yes, overall a great trip.

“Prepare to WAIT”

Got here exactly at 4pm (the time for check in) our room wasn’t ready till 5pm. The check in line was all the way to the ELEVATOR. Other than the service this place is beautiful. Hopefully they fix wait times and service.
