I chose this hotel because I was visiting family in the Scottsdale area and I didn't need a resort, just a good place to stay. The location is convenient and they don't charge for parking, which is a plus. I chose Room 334, a King Bed overlooking the courtyard. It was a quiet room, although I was also blessed to have other guests who were quiet during my stay. The room was cleaned well, passed my Swiffer Test and they made sure the room was feather-free. The mattress is covered with a 5-sided fitted cover. The HVAC unit kept my room at a consistent temperature and the humuduty level was about 39 percent. All the fixtures worked, although one of the bathroom lights flickered at times. The shower was nice, with decent water pressure. The room has a microwave and coffee maker, which I didn't use during my stay. The carpet is allergy-friendly, alhough the two chairs in the room are of a fabric that can be dusty. The courtyard and pool area was lovely, although the pool and hot tub were closed during my stay. The fire pit worked well. Breakfast is a standard Hampton Inn type with hot and cold offerings and waffle makers. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly to me, especially Johanna. All in all, a nice stay at a very nice hotel.

Overall the hotel was fairly clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was what we would have expected from a Hampton inn and suites. The room we stayed in was a bit worn, especially the sleeper sofa and desk chair. The mattress was very comfortable but the pillows were really thin and non-supportive. We had to sleep on 3 pillows to get the support needed. Thankfully, they provided us with the extra pillows. The location of the hotel was good. Most of the things we wanted to do and see in Scottsdale were about a 10 min or less drive. The area felt safe and we had no concerns with our car in the parking lot. The bathroom was fairly spacious with a good amount of counter space. There was not much water pressure in the shower and a lot of the caulking was old and starting to peel. It was clean and there were plenty of fresh towels. Breakfast was what we would have expected. It was hot and there was plenty of it. Pretty typical free breakfast with sausage, eggs, waffles, fruit and muffins as the main items. The coffee was not bad, but also not great. They did have a choice of light or dark roast, which was a plus. Overall, we would stay here again. It was on par with what we have come to expect from Hampton Inns.

“Quick last minute trip to Phoenix, good location to reach various sights and attractions at a reasonable price.”

Went to Phoenix for a weekend trip. Wanted a place central to our itenerary of visiting the Phoenix Zoo for Zoo Lights and attractions the Aquarium and walking around Old Town with a day trip to Sedona as well. It worked out well for us. The property is situated in/near a residential neighbourhood and so it also allowed a chance to eat at a nearby great breakfast spot and visit an In N Out. The location feels quiet and safe. The property is clean and our rooms were big and clean as well. Parking included is a nice touch as properties closer to ,or in Old Town often add that. Yet it was quick and easy to get onto a few major roads and the freeway making driving around with a rental car Courtyard area was quiet and lush and so it provided for a nice quiet environment. Overall very good value with the typical hot included breakfast which was nice to save a few dollars before heading off for the day. Also, I didn’t realize that courtyard facing rooms on the main floor had doors to shared patio space. If we would stay here again as two couples / friends that option would have been great for visiting. All front desk service personnel were professional and cheery. I should add, while the staff member checking us in wasn’t very cheery, so was still efficient and fine and we did check in later in the evening so I can chalk that up to who wants to be excited working the night shift. Overall I’d recommend this property and for sure if you wanted to be in that area. Not knowing all the things we wanted to see and do for a last minute, short vacation to Phoenix/Scottsdale we weren’t really sure what area we wanted to stay in and ended up choosing the Scottsdale area for a bit of a central location for an extended weekend. If you want to be in the Old Town area and actually really close or on the edge you’ll pay more for properties that will cost you more but then you would have a neat area to always start it end your day at many areas to eat and shop at all within a very compact and comfortable old town area. If I was to do this first time trip to Phoenix , kind of last minute in December I would stay in Old Town and you would be In a great central location with a nice walkable neat area to call your home base. The Hampton Inn on Shea Blvd was a really Good property for the budget we gave ourself and the amenities we wanted.

I’ve stayed in 100’s of Hamptons before I get into it. The property was well laid out presented well/clean. It’s also in a great location. The rooms were nice and modern enough. HOWEVER room cleaning needs to be taken up a notch. Debris on the floor, hair on sheets, hair on roof over shower, soap build up from previous stays. The good news is this is easily fixed and the property will meet that Hampton standard.
