I found Marriott Butte Hotel to be located near all restaurants and shopping malls. Great location. Food is higher priced and cocktails approximately $13-15 way expensive and weak in strength. Food Service is slow. The pool bar is good but the bartender needs a cleaner and bigger shirt. Pool water temperature was perfect. However all 3 water spa was very Hot 🔥 and jets were not working like the way they are supposed be. The surrounding mountain is spectacular view around the pool. The only bathroom for the pool goers, the toilet was leaking water toilet seal to the ground, gross. There lots of safety issues by the pool, one being the electric Accessibility water chair. The motor and gears are exposed only 2 feet from the edge of the pool. In the garden areas there were exposed electrical uncapped wires. The bedrooms are clean, the beds are actually good with a mini refrigerator. Lots of constructions for your phones and accessories. Over all in my opinion it's an awesome hotel, but Marriott needs to invest money because the hotel is getting tired on the exterior. Yes I would stay away and bring in your own cheaper alcohol.

We stayed here for one night before our flight home, since it's only about 15 minutes from the airport. Like everyone else said, the resort has an interesting layout. It's built right into the mountain. I reserved a room with a little patio so that we wouldn't be facing the freeway, and I'm glad I did. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready yet (check-in is at 4:00), so we went to the pool bar/restaurant to get snacks and drinks. At night we went to the Top of the Rock and sat outside on the patio (I didn't realize the pool bar closes at either 6:00 or 7:00). I enjoyed the sights of Tempe/Phoenix and the mountains. What I didn't enjoy was the guy at the table next to ours who saw nothing wrong with watching a loud video on his phone that sounded like planes taking off. Seriously? If you insist on watching loud, annoying videos on your phone in a public place, wear headphones. No one wants to listen to it. Anyway, our room appeared to be recently renovated and was pretty spacious. There was a pretty walkway that we could take to the pool and restaurants. However, if you have mobility issues, I'm not sure if this is the place for you. There are multiple steps you need to climb in order to get anywhere. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. My bar for resort/hotel food is always on the floor, so I'm never really disappointed, lol. I'm not sure if this is a place where people spend their entire vacation. I suppose if all you wanted was a pool where you could just hang out and eat and drink, then this place would work. But if you need a place to stay for a night before your flight, it's great.

This resort has high end accommodations and the views are so amazing, as the entire resort is carved out of rock. Be prepared to do a lot of walking to the restaurant, pool and other amenities, if your room is at the end of the long hallway, but we liked getting our steps in without having to leave the resort. The rooms, pool area and whole property is pristine and so clean and the service is excellent. We had a large room with a walk out patio which was plenty of room for just the 2 of us. The only reason I did not give this a 5-star review is because of the sluggishness of the lobby restaurant and takeout breakfast area. As no free coffee is provided by Marriott in the lobby, there was a huge long line in the morning for coffee at the takeout market and they were understaffed. The lobby restaurant with outside patio area has great food, but it took over an hour and a half to be served dinner. A large high capacity resort should do better with the in-house dining, but we had nothing but great things to say about this hotel property!

We love this place. Beautiful lobby, amazing clifftop patio with views over the city. The pool area is awesome, we love how the seating is spread out for privacy. Multiple food and drink options. We love this place. Beautiful lobby, amazing clifftop patio with views over the city. The pool area is awesome, we love how the seating is spread out for privacy. Multiple food and drink options. The rooms are probably the worst part, nothing fancy about them. They are somewhat recently renovated. But you come here for all the other spaces. We love to stay here when we arrive in town, even just for a night to relax before heading north. It’s a great price for a beautiful location, and close to the airport.
