We came to Payson to look around and do some crystal hunting at Diamond Point. With a family of 5, that often means considering two rooms or finding places willing to fit larger groups. Kohl's Ranch was perfect for this and we chose the two bedroom cabin that sleeps up to 8. We paid $200 plus the resort fee of $20 plus tax, which was a great deal for this type of room. While I wouldn't try to sleep two adults on the pull out couch, the king bed in its own room with its own bathroom, the second room with two queens, and the pull out couch meant everyone had plenty of space and (lucky for us) wouldn't fight with each other while trying to go to sleep. The cabin also had a full kitchen and a full sized dining room table, which would make this perfect for a multi-night stay where you want to cook some nights. The place was pretty bright and clean with just a few worn spots. The cabin was also on the creek, so we went down and listened a bit in the morning to the moving water. The main lodge has an indoor and outdoor pool an a hot tub as well as a BBQ restaurant in it. The main lodge feels like it made an effort without being overbearing. We just found it on our own initiative, but apparently the place is also in the Hilton Grand Vacations network, which would explain why it was set up with a full kitchen anticipating one or more weeks of being there. The bathroom was a good size in the king bedroom with a bathtub on one end, then the vanity, then the toilet and standing shower stall at the other end. The other bathroom was more of the expected shower/tub combo and a normal size for a hotel room. The place also comes with a grill just off the porch and its own dedicated parking space. This place was really a great find and I hope to make it out here again in the future.

“expectations exceeded”

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Lodge but I can say it exceeded our expectations. It’s an older lodge but everything is kept up nicely and the staff was excellent (especially Jenn). I wasn’t sure what to expect from Lodge but I can say it exceeded our expectations. It’s an older lodge but everything is kept up nicely and the staff was excellent (especially Jenn). Beautiful location right next to a creek and lakes about 10 minutes away for fishing. Many onsite things to do, washer/dryer available at no charge, and an EV charger station on site. And about 15 minutes from grocery stores, restaurants, and shops.

“Peaceful & beautiful”

Lodge was beautiful & peaceful in the forest! Having refrigerator, toaster coffee maker etc was very nice. Enjoyed eating at the restaurant right there too. It was convenient since other restaurants were located in Payson; short drive away.
