“Great Place, With Great Breakfast Potential”

We stayed here with two adults and three kids in a studio queen room, and somehow no one lost their mind. The room was genuinely huge. Like, everyone had space and no one had to negotiate sleeping boundaries huge. The kitchenette was fully stocked with a dishwasher, sink, microwave, full-size fridge, and dishes, which was extremely helpful and also made us briefly consider moving in. The two queen beds were super comfortable, and there was a pull-out sofa for our 16-year-old… who took one look at the effort required to pull it out and said, “I’m good,” and slept on it folded up. Comfort apparently met laziness, and laziness won. The room was clean, well laid out, and clearly designed for families who travel with more people than patience. The only reason I didn’t give this hotel five stars is the breakfast. Breakfast is advertised until 10am, and we arrived around 9am feeling optimistic. That optimism did not last long. There was a breakfast buffet… but most of the food had already gone on vacation. No waffle mix. No eggs. No plates. No coffee. No orange juice. No butter. The options were… limited. To their credit, when we asked, some items were refilled, and you could tell this breakfast has the potential to be really good when everything is actually there. We did have to reheat our food, which added to the adventure. All that said, we would absolutely stay here again. The room alone made it worth it — we’d just come a little earlier for breakfast next time (or emotionally prepare ourselves).

“Need new sheets”

Upon arriving I had to walk over disgusting cigarette butts in front of the front door entrance to the lobby. Reception was very friendly. I experienced a time change on my road trip and accidentally arrived at the hotel a little early. Reception was very kind and allowed me to check in. I used the washer and dryer. Room was clean and both machines worked very well. TV was large and along with the internet worked well. The bed sheets are a big problem. The bottom sheet was covered in pile balls and 2 dark hairs. Could have been dog hairs. I found an extra sheet in the closet bag and used that to cover the bad sheet. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was quiet. AC worked well. Hot breakfast was good. There were also cigarette butts on the ground at the back entrance. There were pipes to deposit the cigarettes in but the smokers were too lazy to use them.

Sufficient but not exceptional. Proximity to the airport was convenient for access to interstates 19 and 10. Sufficient but not exceptional. Proximity to the airport was convenient for access to interstates 19 and 10. The room was adequate and clean with most equipment functioning (the microwave under-counter light was broken). The bathrooms were not stocked with any hand lotion. Given the exceptional dry climate of Tucson, this is a must. When we asked at the front desk we were told the owner decided providing hand lotion was too expensive. The breakfast was a high point. Good selection but for lactoovo vegetarians there were no fruits or fresh plant-based items other than bananas and green apples. The parking lot is not a safe place to leave anything overnight in your vehicle. At least one guest reported having his car broken into and a number of items stolen. The staff were exceptional. Helpful to a fault as best they could be. During our four night stay our room was only made up once despite requesting every other day service.

“Loud Slamming Doors & Lukewarm Showers”

The rooms are nice - what I expected based on the Home2 Suites I've stayed at in Yuma, AZ. The doors, though, WOW ... heavy and they slam. Therefore, heard A LOT of slamming doors during my 2 week stay and it was driving me nuts. I'd close my door gently but most people aren't like that; especially kids ... but even "adults". Constant slamming. Far more people than not will let their door slam even if it bothers them with others do it. That's just how people are. The hotel needs to change out the door closers with ones that are far less forceful and slower. The hotel hosting a circus of Little Leaguers and their parents/families for the weekend I was there obviously made the slamming situation worse. The staff are okay ... they don't really go out of their way to acknowledge your presence or get to know you. At Hilton Garden Inn Tucson Airport they are very friendly and personable; not at Home2 Suites. The staffer that checked me out of Home2 Suites didn't even ask how my stay was. Barely said a word to me. The last thing I'll mention is the lack of hot water. They need to either put in more hot water tanks or, what they really should do is, go tankless. Some mornings I didn't shower because the water was lukewarm or colder. They run out of hot water too soon for the number of people/rooms.

I have stayed at many many Hilton properties as my wife and I are both members and have HGV property--I want each property to be awesome-- but do have some compliments and some recommendations for this property: 1) work out area is good, big spacious, but needs a fan 2)breakfast was good 3)lounge area is spacious clean and well lit/ comfortable 4)I like that they have a bar with food in the evening (I didn't sample any, but nice area) 5) THE BIG ONE: the bed: sheets were rough like sandpaper from pilling. The room smelled musty and the pillows smelled like someone else. big negatives- easily remedied.
