This is a great place to stay. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and feature large balconies. We were fortunate to have a stunning mountain view, which made mornings and evenings especially enjoyable. The staff throughout the property were consistently friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did an excellent job - we always returned to a clean, well-prepared room, which speaks to the attention to detail. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed several meals that were creative, thoughtfully prepared, and genuinely delicious. You can dine indoors in the main dining room or, weather permitting, outside, which adds to the overall experience. The grounds are impressive. There are two swimming pools - an Olympic-sized lap pool and a regular pool - along with a large hot tub. The property also offers numerous tennis and pickleball courts. Despite the excellent amenities, nothing felt crowded. It truly felt like staying at a private resort. Overall, Ventana Canyon Lodge delivers comfort, quality, and a relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful setting.

This property will be my first choice anytime I visit Tucson, thanks to the super friendly staff, spotless and luxuriously comfortable rooms, wide range of amenities, gorgeous grounds, and terrific location. My friend and I were upgraded to a stunning loft room, which is 1500 square feet and includes two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a balcony (with beautiful sunset views from our side overlooking the tennis courts), a kitchen with a small stove and oven, and a living/dining area. Having two bedrooms was great for the privacy factor, but be advised that one requires a walk up a spiral staircase (in case you have mobility issues). The beds were fabulous, and they even provide cozy robes. The amenities here are amazing, too. We enjoyed the resort pool (heated!), hot tub and poolside bar service, but there’s also a huge lap pool, several tennis and Pickleball courts, a nice gym, and more. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but it has a pretty patio, and the menu looked good. The lodge is only a few minutes’ drive to the Sabino Canyon visitor center, which offers world-class hiking and birding. We were treated like royalty here, even though we had never been here and only stayed one night. I cannot emphasize how warm and welcoming everyone was. It felt like a home away from home.

“Very nice stay”

Our room was clean and well maintained. It was extremely hot during our visit but the air conditioner worked well. We enjoyed time by the pool and the clean and well-equipped kitchen but did not use other amenities.

Golf course was fantastic! Worth the trip! Lodgings were OK, but for $700 a night (net of golf), I expected a ton of white glove service and an amazing room. Didn't get it. Room was dark and a bit worn. Hard to find a place to read. Lodge decor was kind of 1970s feel. Food service was solid. Menu was good. Staff service was excellent. Food quality was OK. Our package included green fees, but we were double-charged separately. Three trips to the front desk at different times failed to fix this - we were told all three times to come back again late at night when the supervisor could discuss with us. Back home, we compared bills with other folks in the party, confirming a double charge of $700. Calls to hotel asking for credit were met with the same evasion: call back after 11 pm when the supervisor might be in. This eventually got fixed, but it wasn't a good look.
