“Great lakefront place to stay”

Had a great time at this resort. Stayed in cabin 314, a 1 bedroom cabin, newly remodeled. We can highly recommend this particular unit. It has a nice sized deck with a table, four chairs, and an umbrella. We spent all our time on that deck looking at the lake. Recycle and trash bins close by. … more

Had a great time at this resort. Stayed in cabin 314, a 1 bedroom cabin, newly remodeled. We can highly recommend this particular unit. It has a nice sized deck with a table, four chairs, and an umbrella. We spent all our time on that deck looking at the lake. Recycle and trash bins close by. Parking is near the room and we never had an issue with parking. Comfortable accommodations. A/C worked great, two large TVs (one in living room, other in the bedroom). Did not use the TVs but there seemed to be many channels available. Fully stocked kitchen including dish soap, and a fresh (important!) sponge. Stove, microwave, toaster, large fridge/freezer. Most everything you could need. The only things that could be improved on are the coffee maker and the lack of a cutting board. A cutting board would be great (the knives in the unit were top notch!) We used paper plates as a cutting board and that wasn't too easy. The coffee maker is a generic "Keurig" type. It didn't brew a full cup. We found out that you need to actually let the water brew a bit before it would work. Sometimes it worked, other times it didn't. We were told the coffee makers will be changed out soon. They did have coffee available in the lobby starting at 7 a.m. Those in our group that tried it said it was very good coffee. No decaf however. That would be a good addition. Ooh, one more area that needs improvement is the closet. There is a closet space, but no bar to hang items. Almost as if the remodel wasn't completed. We were told those will be fixed in the future. The fire pit near the lake, the corn hole game, and the propane BBQs were used by our group daily and we loved it! The BBQs are scattered all over the property. Some in our group used the pool and said it was very nice and clean. All staff that we interacted with were very nice and helpful. The property is walking distance to the Village (very close) so that is a huge plus. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. We ate at the Tap Room which is directly across the street from the property and we were very happy with it. Some in our group were in the older cabins. While they were perfectly nice, and very rustic looking, the newer cabins were to be preferred. The older ones did not have AC either which is nice to have in the summer. All units have wood burning fireplaces, with logs available for purchase in the lobby. If you bring your own, use a Duraflame type log. Overall it was a great place to stay and we will definitely return.
