Here is what I liked about this property: This property is a good one for these reasons: 1. The spacious units provide a lot of convenience for a family. We went to Slaters Food Market and bought breakfast food to prepare in the full kitchen. We ate our breakfast on the patio overlooking stunning mountain views. Kitchens have a blender, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, laundry and full size refrigerator. 2. The walk in closets and bathroom were both spacious 3. Location is quiet outside of busy downtown Palm Springs 4. Adult pool is appreciated for those that want to seek quiet around a pool. Family pool is large and so is the game room and exercise room. 5. Walking trail is right on the property. 6. Reasonable casual restaurants are nearby such as Bubba's Barbecue and many Mexican restaurants. This is an older property and shows wear on the concrete sidewalks. The interior carpeting is dated as well. This is not a property for those seeking a stylish hip resort. It is a very comfortable place that feels like a family condo. I liked it a lot for our family.

Nice staff, location, facilities - - - - - - - - February, 2026 Visit We visited Palm Desert to see our St. Louis CITY Soccer Club (SC) play Austin in pre-season MLS soccer at the Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament. My wonderful wife was able to get us a reservation here at the Hyatt Desert Oasis, a first-time visit and first time staying in Cathedral City. This is a nice property. We reserved a studio / 1-bedroom unit, which has a kitchen and washer/dryer. The sofa is a pull-out, which worked for our daughter (21 yo). The pool is central and also has a hot tub; the day was a bit overcast but we still got some sun. There is a pool bar / snack shack that has a good menu of food and drinks and a friendly and helpful staff. There is an activity center for kids of all ages. The property backs up to the Whitewater Basin, which is almost always dry; I share as a reference because this also means no buildings to the west which provides for some beautiful views of Mt. San Jacinto and the San Jacinto Mtns, whip form the border between the Coachella Valley and the Los Angeles Basin; the mountains also help keep the moisture to the west and keep the Coachella Valley and surrounding areas dry. The Coachella Valley Connector is a trail for walking / jogging / running and biking and is right out back; this provides for nice walks at sunrise, sunset and all day and night long. The Hyatt staff is friendly and helpful. Thank you for letting us stay here! ----- ----- -----

The positives: The rooms are a decent size, the beds are very comfortable - even the pull out couch was comfortable. It was very clean. The pool is kept at a nice comfortable temperature, which is great for swimming in on the cooler evenings. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The activity centre is great for families/kids, and having a schedule of activities was great for my only child daughter, as she was able to participate in different activities throughout the week we were there. I found the staff very helpful. The washer and dryer in the unit was very handy. The negatives - the hotel is in the flight path - so you will see and hear planes coming in for a landing. This wasn't too bad, as palm springs isn't too busy of an airport, but just an fyi. The hotel is also right off one of the busiest streets in the area, so there is definitely road noise if staying in any unit near the road. We were a ways back from the road, so for the most part we didn't hear it, but occasionally would hear a sports bike. You don't really hear the road noise from the pool. The doors have very little noise insulation, there is a large gap under the door and even when it locks. So you hear whenever someone is in the hallway, and the doors slam loudly, so everytime someone comes and goes you can hear them. Most people who stay here are senior's so for the most part it was fairly quiet. The kitchen was fairly sparse for supplies, I easily ran out of the dishes to use mid-way through the day, so had to run a half empty dishwasher or wash the dishes. It was a good deal for the price, and the staff made it worth it.

Location is okay. It is close to Target, Trader Joe’s and Walmart and the airport. The rooms are well appointed and clean, however the couch/bed was very uncomfortable. Location is okay. It is close to Target, Trader Joe’s and Walmart and the airport. The rooms are well appointed and clean, however the couch/bed was very uncomfortable. There is no daily cleaning, only trash pick up and you had to request towels each day if you need them. There is a washer and dryer, but if I’m on vacation I’d prefer not to do laundry. Pool is okay.. Very murky and not clear which indicates it’s not bring properly cleaned and filtrated. I have been going here for years and the overall charm of this property has declined significantly. During our last visit there was an individual with an ankle monitor in close proximity to the main pool. Not a conversation I would like to have with my small child while on vacation. There were also some older men that gave me and my family not so great vibes. One of older gentleman came up to my teen in the pool and asked her who the man was that she was talk to (it was her Uncle and none of his business).

Nice for a brief family stay. Pool area is nice with a few indoor game options. Room was fine with full kitchen and living room. Bed very comfortable and quiet room. Challenges were it is a very dated property, especially in interior hallway and no elevator, but a “lift” that we couldn’t get to work. So we carried luggage and groceries up the stairs. It has more of a Homewood Suites vibe vs what we’d expect from a Hyatt. Not much food on-site as restaurant by pool closes at 5pm. Market off the lobby is tiny with just a few snacks. Staff was great. Hyatt needs to invest into this property. It’s 6 miles East of downtown Palm Springs. Location was fine for what we needed.
