“Wonderful place to stay”

Wonderful rooms. Staff were very accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was great! However my room's phone was not allowing me to call the front desk to ask a question.

We booked in as 4 adults, yet there were only towels and pillows for three travelers. Typically there are two pillows per side, four pillows per bed in most nice hotels we have stayed in. We booked in as 4 adults, yet there were only towels and pillows for three travelers. Typically there are two pillows per side, four pillows per bed in most nice hotels we have stayed in. The pull out bed was not comfortable, it was very noisy when turning or getting out of, and we were able to feel springs in the mattress. We requested extra pillow and towels with room service. The attendant said they would have them to us right away, but I had to call back a couple hours later to remind them. The cable TV was poor selection. Granted we weren't there to watch TV; however, for the bit of time that we were in the room and turned the TV on, the best programming was family feud and storage wars. Breakfast was good, much better than just a continental breakfast, but the pictures of the breakfast on your website looked phenomenal. The selection of fruit and protein was disappointing when anticipating the lovely breakfast in the picture. We were served sausages two mornings and fried wieners the third. Not top selection in my opinion . Other than that, breakfast was good; however, on Monday when checking out we got there at 5 minutes to 9:00 and the worker was kicking us out. Rather than letting us fill our plates then asking us to move to the dining room once our plates were filled, she just started taking all the food. A couple minutes before 9:00 my girls we're very intimidated and laughed with two things on their plate. Less intimidated by the staff, my son and I continued to fill our plates. At exactly 9:00 the worker was emptying out the food from the buffet containers right from underneath us as we were filling our plates. I asked her for the pancakes which she just took, and she told me that we shut down at 9:00. I feel that as long as we were there before 9:00, we should have been able to fill our plates and then leave the buffet area to eat in the dining room. We were not the only family this happened to. Initially I had two nights booked at their sister hotel next to them but later decided we wanted to spend the Friday night there in addition to the Saturday and Sunday . The gentleman that I spoke to on the phone while extending the reservation was so kind and friendly that I decided to spend all three nights in this hotel. In the end, we were disappointed that we had made this decision. With the service that we got, we would have done better in the other hotel and just stayed the Friday night with ALO and moved the next day for the remaining two nights. The price point was very good. We appreciated that.
