“Great stay in LA.”

Incredible stay in Los Angeles for a few days. The on service manager Madeo gave unbelievable hospitality and service. Great location, friendly staff, and efficient valet service. I would highly recommend that you stay here. I’m looking forward to our next trip!

What I liked: - clean, very clean - spacious room - small convenience area for water and snacks - easy check out - breakfast was simple, quick and fresh - superb noise elimination for rooms close to the road - black out curtains - towels and bedding were supreme quality - the bed was exceptionally comfortable - has a pool! What I didn't like: - location is a little further away from good places to eat and drink... Hollywood Boulevard than I expected - on a much busier road than I expected - valet parking at $50 per night, we parked at a small parking lot about 5 mins walk, at $6 a day. - some renovations being undertaken and not shown clearly on Expedia when booking (that said, it didn't hamper us as we were out all day)

The location was good for what we were in town for. The valet employees were nice and were always available when we needed our car. The front desk was hit or miss. I got an alert on my app that our room was ready (at 1p) so we headed to the hotel to check in only to be told it was not ready. The desk agent seemed bored and bothered by it all. Not a huge deal for us so we drove to my favorite haunt, Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Better than the stinky stars on the strip if you ask me. We returned at 330p and a more joyful agent gave us our room. The room seemed a bit updated w/ 2 Q’s. It was as expected and no complaints from me. We stayed a few nights through New Year’s Eve and the fireworks in the area were massive. Not to look at but lots of booms through the night. Maybe the hotel could give earplugs out haha. I brought my own. Overall I liked our stay and would stay again. Felt safe and clean.

I am torn on this hotel. The PROS The room is appointed nicely. Lots of USB plugs, pull out drawers and a closet, the bathroom had a great shower, and I loved the pull out storage cubbies in the vanity. Our room was clean and smoke-free. The CONS The bed and pillows were the worst I have ever encountered and I served 2 tours in Iraq. The bed tilted backwards and was so lumpy you would swear you were sleeping on a pile of russet potatoes! I asked for other pillows and was offered no help. The breakfast was terrible and the breakfast area was awash in cereal, crumbs, and dirty chairs and tables. If all you would like to eat is fast food than the hotel is in a decent location. I could recommend the hotel only if you had a car, but can’t with the abysmal mattress and pillows.
