First time at this resort. Overall we enjoyed our stay. It's a gated facility, with key-card entry gates. On the positive side, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was outstanding (our unit was spotless). The Pool areas are nice. Our 2-bedroom unit was large and roomy (except for bathrooms and kitchen) and adequately stocked with kitchen items, towels, pillows, blankets. The grounds are generally in good condition. The furniture was very nice (recently upgraded), and beds/bedding were comfortable. TVs worked very well. Location is great for golf (Indian Palms golf course is on site...it's fine for any golfer, but needs some maintenance work in a number of areas). Facility is close to just about anywhere in Indio, but is a 20-30 minute drive to the west end of the valley. On the down side the unit is very dated. Cabinets have been painted over too many times, some of the hardware is broken, and the bathrooms are small (especially the 1/2 bath). Counters in baths and kitchen don't appear to have been remodeled or repaired since the unit was built. That being said, everything (including hot water and plumbing) worked very well. Our Unit was a 2-story (living/dining downstairs, bedrooms upstairs). So it you don't care for stairs or have trouble getting up/down (it was hard to haul luggage up them), then this is not the place for you. Facility is part of the Indian Palms residential community. It has 18 (yes, 18) HOAs, and it's a kind of odd looking in many ways. There are beautiful homes, with nicely manicured yards. Then across the street are units that are very "under-maintained" for lack of a better description. Consequently the Registration Office can be hard to find as it's mixed in with some of the units and the sign is small. We didn't use the laundry facilities, but we were not impressed with them. Many washers/dryers were out of order, and they work off an app on your phone (not coin operated). Most the working units were very beat up. Supposedly they are all being replaced (which would be a good thing). If your unit is close to one of the, then lucky you...otherwise it could be a hike, and you'll likely be driving to the laundry room. All in all, for the price we paid for the week, it was a reasonable stay. However, we likely wouldn't return as we just can't do stairs as well as we used too. If it were on one level, then we'd consider returning.

Credit where it’s due—every single employee I had contact with was amazing. But the grounds were built more the apocalypse than a relaxing refreshing time. Credit where it’s due—every single employee I had contact with was amazing. But the grounds were built more the apocalypse than a relaxing refreshing time. Gates with tire spike strips and welded spikes on the metal gate itself. Pool bathrooms padlocked day and night. View consists of parking lots and dated stucco buildings. Unit has ancient gum on carpets, crumbled particleboard cupboards, saggy beds, no natural light. Finally, RCI says this place has tennis, but it very much does NOT. You will be locked out of the tennis courts and cannot even pay a day fee to play. It’s a shame.
