This was a great place, great breakfast and excellent coffee. Close to walking and I LOVED the fir out area. We enjoyed drinks around it and net other guests. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and roomy. The staff were all very friendly

This place shines for its location. Steps away from the Heavenly gondola! As for services I agree with the reviewer from last year that this is motel not a hotel, but that is pretty obvious from the pictures. If you expect the amenities and service of a hotel you will be disappointed. As a motel, it is definitely above average and I felt the price was a real bargain. Charging for parking seems strange as I expect most guests would have cars, not arriving by public transportation. If the hotel needs to spread out whatever expenses the parking lot incurs (maybe a tow service to check the registration), why is that not worked into the room rate. I also agree with others that (1) the breakfast offered is VERY basic -- "full" in the sense that it has meat and eggs and is not just prepackaged danish rolls. If you're picky about breakfast, there are many options close by. (2) Checkin can have mistakes. I arrived at 2:30 for a 4 pm checkin and was willing to wait, but there was no mention that housekeeping would prioritize readying my room so I might be able to get in before 4 pm. The room wasn't ready until 5 pm, but they offered a free drink at the tavern next door. "You get what you pay for" applies, but my stay was perfectly reasonable.

My friend and I came here for a ski week from Jan 2 - Jan 7 2026. We reserved 2 rooms. I'm a Best Western member. We're both in our early 60's. Overall, this is a decent hotel and the location cannot be beat. Unfortunately, at least my room (#216) was in serious need of repairs and updating! The room had damaged light fixtures, light shades, blackout blinds, broken toilet, damaged walls, and stained carpet. And, upon check in, we were informed that cleaning was on a "request only" basis. I thought that was a good thing for the environment. The problem is, it didn't work. I asked for the room to be cleaned the day after our check in, and it wasn't. When I asked why, they said it wasn't noted (although I told the front desk upon checked). The next day, Saturday, I told the front desk that I wanted my room cleaned Sunday, since it wasn't cleaned Saturday. No problem they said. I even called Sunday morning, before heading out to ski, to confirm and was told, "Yes, it's noted." I came back Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't cleaned. I called the front desk and they said "it's not noted." I had enough. I even tried giving one of the cleaning ladies $5 to make sure she'd clean my room on Monday! Monday morning, I went to the front desk and asked to be sure my room would be cleaned....Finally, they cleaned it. Keep in mind, that they do not do anything if you do not ask for a cleaning....no coffee refills, no emptying of trash, no new towels, no making the bed, nothing....We were there for 5 nights and in that time, my room was only cleaned once. Other problems: 1. Front desk staff that is terribly disorganized. They tell you that they will take care of you, but they don't. 2. Broken toilet that wouldn't fill the water tank, so each time I need to use the toilet, I'd have to lift the porcelain top to see if there was water...about 30% of the time, there was not. 3. Black out shades broke twice during my stay and took maintenance 2 hours to fix when I first checked in and then again midstay. 4. The TV stopped working, so I had to do a hard reset twice. 5. The shower head is at an odd angle, so it only sprays you from the torso up. Good luck getting those hard to reach areas! 6. Bathroom walls and mirror had damage, flaking paint, chipping, etc. 7. Ripped lamp shades. 8. Breakfast is great on weekends, but weekdays, they don't offer the full range, e.g. bacon, and they can run out of fruit, juice machine can be broken, no yogurt, etc. 9. Extremely noisy for rooms on the state line side of the hotel, where the breakfast room is. People would party until 2 a.m., dogs barking, outdoor music from nearby restaurants. Good things: 1. Location to Heavenly Village, Gondola, Restaurants, Target, etc. 2. Weekend breakfast layout. 3. Beds are reasonably comfortable. 4. Heating worked well. I would strongly recommend NOT staying in room #216. It was nothing but problems.

“Stay Somewhere else”

Not one of the nicer Best Westerns, Charge $10.00 for parking, shower was EXTREMELY SMALL, noisey and there is no water pressure
