I felt this place needed a honest review after reading so much negative before my stay. Yes, the hotel is located in the Tenderloin an area known for its homeless situation and with a shady past. However, it is on the edge and although the area is a little tired I found no trouble and the homeless were more towards Market st that being said it is no worse than any other major city you’d visit and people should show a little compassion rather than judging. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful. It is ideally situated within walking distance to Union square with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Transport is very near also and within a few minutes you can be at Pier 39 or fisherman’s wharf. Perfect for solo travelers on a budget and perfectly central. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Many thanks James

I don’t even know where to begin…it was a great price, and we had a bit of an emergency and needed a hotel! Per usual when things are stressed and hectic, we were moving fast and normal details/fine print/etc. WE, well mostly ME 🤦🏻‍♀️, pay attention to didn’t seem to exist. As we were heading to the hotel, I realized I didn’t read one single review before I booked the room. As I was reading, my jaw dropped in horror. I BOOKED US A SMALL POX ROOM WITH COMPLIMENTARY BLACK LUNG AND Syringes on the pillow ?!?? Maybe Shawn would believe hazmat suits were in and I wouldn’t have to fess up to my mistake?!?? Either way we are DOoMeD, we’re locked in! (Due to the fact that booking a hotel online is more iron clad than a fathers chastity belt for his daughter! It’s crazy! Every time I book a room its so much pressure, red pill? blue pill? no going back! We arrived and I was in total shock as to what happened next. The fellas that run this hotel and work the desk, seriously could not be kinder or more polite. In a world where customer service is an endangered act, they demonstrated it effortlessly. Truly lovely. Ok, I’m not blind (the shower curtain was….hopefully a Halloween decoration that was not take down?!?! Obviously it’s not the Ritz…but if you want the Ritz go to the Ritz!!!! There were clean towels offered daily as well as maid service, breakfast and coffee in the morning. Not sure what more you could ask for at such a low rate. So I have to wonder about the people that wrote the reviews that about sent me to spaz town…why do the miserable spread misery! This is San Francisco there has always been people on the sidewalk’s in front of business chatting, dancing, selling something, putting up a tent or even spreadin the big guys holy word. So if the “homelessness element” is bothering you this hotel isn’t the problem, you picked the wrong city! Everyone is doing their best, be kind. This short novella I have unintentionally put together was in hopes that it will sway anyone’s decision into staying if they aren’t sure! We are check out today, and no complaints from me the last two weeks were comfortably easy. As far as our lodging goes that is…🤯
