Great location, on grand Cabrillo Blvd, close to harbor side. There is a wonderful miles long beach walkway right across the street, along the beach. It’s 10 minutes walk to the harbor, 10 minutes walk to the pier, 20 minutes walk to downtown- State St. (All hotels in downtown charge daily parking around $15. Not here.) The hotel is managed and run well and efficiently. Every employee is very friendly and helpful. We had a room with harbor view which is spacious and comfortable. Great beds and sheets. Complimentary continental breakfast. There are soft broiled eggs, cereals, yogurt, juices, fruits, pastries, coffee and tea. It’s more than enough for us. If you want more, there are some breakfast restaurants within 2-3 blocks. They also offer complimentary happy hour / snack time around 5-6 pm. There are red and white wine, coffee and tea, cheeses, crackers, grapes…. which is civilized. There is a washer and a dryer. Get quarters at front desk. It’s convenient. We had a wonderful time. Will definitely stay here whenever we come back to town.

Our family stayed one night at the West Beach Inn during spring break and had a great stay. The location of the hotel can't be beat: right across from the harbor and beach and just a few minutes walk to State Street. Our ground floor room was very spacious and had a small patio, but no view. Bathroom was small but fine for our short stay. For us, the pool and spa area was the highlight, followed by the wine and cheese hour and breakfast offering. Both were kid friendly, decent spreads (fresh fruit at both!) and made our stay really enjoyable. I hope we get to return soon!

Nice property right across from the harbor. The ground floor rooms have no views. Our view from the 2nd floor was OK, but the 3rd floor would give you the best view. The front desk guy when we checked in was great – very friendly and helpful and got us each a glass of wine after a difficult drive even though we arrived a bit after happy hour. The room was large and nicely renovated with a balcony overlooking the harbor. The room had 2 comfy chairs and OK lighting. A second luggage rack would have been nice. The bathroom was on the small side, but was well laid out with a decent amount of counter space for toiletries and adequate towel bars/rods. Breakfast was nice – a good selection of breads, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit and juices. Ample free parking was great to have and restaurants and tasting rooms were within walking distance. We’d definitely stay again.
