“Very comfortable at a convenient location”

I booked 3 comfortable rooms here. The staff was very nice, and breakfast was quite good. My family was in town to see a show at the opera house, so this location was very convenient for us.

Pros: - New property - FREE PARKING / Plenty of parking - Good location for shopping / food - Quiet room - Comfortable mattress - Usable shower head - Modern entertainment system on the TV - Decent value Cons: - Bathroom lights on a motion sensor with timer - Bright flashing LED light on ceiling near the bed - No ice bucket in room - Not as many storage spaces as other Home2's - Only three pillows for a king bed - Only four dishes This is a new Home2. I'm glad that this property is not playing the game that other Hiltons are and forcing a $10-$20 charge for parking in their private parking lot. I avoid those properties. The room was quiet and mattress was decently soft. Good location for easy access to Walmart, Costco, and restaurant options as well as I-5. The TV had a modern entertainment system with Tubi, Hulu, Netflix, and YouTube so I wasn't forced to watch cable. For some unknown reason they have installed a motion-activated sensor and timer for the lights in the bathroom. If you use the bathroom at night all of the lights come on and you are blinded. When you are showering the lights turn off after five minutes because the sensor can't see motion through the glass shower door and now you are showering in the dark. Stupid. There is some device on the ceiling just to the side of the bed that flashes a super-bright LED every few seconds lighting up the entire room at night. Although there are ice machines on every floor ice buckets are not provided, I even checked with the front desk and they confirmed this. Three pillows for two people on a king bed is not enough. This room did not have all of the storage shelves mounted on the wall that older Home2's have. There were only four plates for the entire room instead of multiple plates in multiple sizes like other Home2's. For a little over $150 on a Saturday night I think this Home2 offers decent value and I would stay here again.

The hotel had only been opened a month, so was practically new. That said, the elevators rattled and were slow like an old hotel. Oddly for a new hotel, they'd installed video in the elevators bolting the cameras on top of the no smoking signs - really, did no-one think to just move the signs? The room itself was as expected at this particular chain. It was functional, and clean. The bed was comfortable. However, when this hotel says ZERO, they mean it! The ZERO shampoo in the bathroom was indeed empty. Fortunately I'd brought my own. Even so - don't the hotel staff check things like that when cleaning a room? Since I have food allergies, I asked for information about the various items in the included buffet breakfast. The person at the front desk was uninterested and simply said "I don't know what's in the food". First, a hotel in this class should have allergen information at the front desk. Second, just saying "I don't know" is not service. "I'll ask and get back to you" is service. As it turned out the breakfast items were the worst I've seen at any breakfast, even in a budget motel. The 'eggs' were hard rubber rings of yellow something. The 'bacon' was sliced so thin you could read a newspaper through it, and it was tasteless. The 'potato wedges' were similarly unpleasant. We stayed at a lower-end budget motel on the same trip - real eggs, real biscuits and gravy, and signs showing allergen information. If a low end motel can look after its guests this way, the Hilton should be able to do a much better job.
