This was our second year staying here as we visited family in December. This year, we stayed on the third floor, which was quieter than our 4th floor room last year. Front desk pregnant young woman was pleasant and friendly. Overnight front desk young lady was also helpful and friendly. Rooms are cleaned every other day, and we only stayed 2 nights, but it was clean and well-appointed upon check-in. Mini frig is nice to cool drinks. Breakfast was usual fare, and upon checking out at 430am, the breakfast lady was offering bag breakfast to go. Even though we didn't partake, I thought it was nice to have that available so early. I do want to thank her for having hot water for tea. That specifically is for hot water. Many hotels reuse a carafe that has also been used for coffee and ruins tea. So, thank you for that small detail, much appreciated! The parking lot is well lit, and hotel common areas are clean. Overall, it was a great stay, and we'll see you again next year! It's a great place to stay in a great little town!

We stayed here because 1) I recently became an Hilton Honors member in July, 2) we were traveling with our little dog and 3) visiting the Mt Princeton hot springs. When I was making tge reservation, I called customer service at Hilton because I didn't see how to use my points from July. David helped me, posted the points and said with the points, it basically covered the pet fee and said he would email me the confirmation. I asked if the pet was still on the reservation. He said yes. I received an email with the confirmation and a separate email to check in early. I checked in, selected my room hoping for early check-in since we wanted to get started on our 3-day get-a-way. Our bank sent me an email that the amount was declined as the hotel tried to add the pet fee which caused the charged amount to go over our set daily limit. I thought it would be an easy fix once I showed the front desk folks my confirmation once I got to the hotel. When I arrived, at 1:15 pm, I spoke with the front desk woman, Michelle?, who said the points have never covered the pet fee. I tried to explain that I was told when I made the reservation that my points were the same amount as the pet fee and that I was not using the points for pet fee, the points just took the amount off our stay, which equaled the pet fee. After a few minutes of this conversation where I was getting no where with Michelle, I called Hilton and they called Michelle and it got straightened out and I was charged what was originally confirmed. Then I asked if we could have early check-in and Michelle said the room I wanted was not clean yet but she offered another room on another floor. I asked if I could take a look as to where it was and I went to look. I didn't think it was going to work because it was near an elevator, too noisy for our dog who may bark every time she heard something, and it didn't have the nice view of the mountains, where I could enjoy with my coffee first thing in the morning for the 2-day relaxing experience. I also went to the floor where my reserved room was and I saw the housekeepers and I asked them how much longer before our room was ready since they were cleaning on the opposite side where our room was. I politely let her know we were ready and asked could they clean ours? She said 'yes' and I let her know we were going to eat and we would be back in another 30-45 minutes. I went back to the front desk and since I didn't want the room offered, Michelle said to check back in 45 minutes. I asked if there were some good restaurants where we could eat on a patio with our dog. She then recommended the nice walking path outside the hotel, for our dog. I was totally confused because had to repeat that I needed a restaurant recommendation, not a walking path. We found a place to eat and came back but the room still wasn't ready. There was a man at the front desk and he said another 30 minutes. He said they were having issues with getting their laundry (sheets) and housekeeping was doing their best. I asked to speak to the manager and the housekeeping Mgr came to the front. She said that if I did check-in early it may have been done after they had already printed their priority room clean list. She also said the housekeeper should not have told me the room would be ready. We waited for over 45 minutes and at 3:55 pm our room was ready. The whole afternoon wasted. Rain was predicted for the next two days. When I got to our room. I do the sniff test. The sheets didn't smell fresh. I asked the housekeeping Mgr about it, thought maybe in their haste they didn't change the sheets. The Mgr said they don't use perfumed products in the laundry as some guests have allergies. She offered more sheets. We finally got settled and walked our dog on the nice trail and went to explore in town and to find the hot springs so we would know where to go the next day. I had also called Hilton to let them know how slow this hotel was to check us in. I noticed the next day when a housekeeper was cleaning a room next door to ours, and I needed another clean towel, that she was on her cell phone, and it was obvious from her conversation that it was a personal call. (It was cause for pause for me, that is why it takes so long to clean rooms🤔.) Then the final straw as to why I am making this post is when we checked out I noticed our card was charged twice for the incidental charges @ $50 per day. Granted these charges drop when you check out if there are no incidents to charge for. My dog was bathed, crated, no accidents and we certainly left the room in very good shape. The front desk apologized that the card was charged twice. I called Hilton to let them know. Disappointed for these things that occurred for a hotel that carries a Hilton flagship and because we are Hilton Honors members. I think this hotel can do better.

“Accomodations were ok but coffee makers not working was a problem”

The accomodations were fine but the coffee maker was broken during our 2 day stay. Our party chose to have breakfast across the street. So the free breakfast wasn't free for our party of 5.
