This is an excellent location to be near the highway (to Tampa and Orlando), and only 2 miles to Joker Marchant Stadium for spring training baseball. It’s right next to both an Applebee’s and a Cracker Barrel (but other more interesting dining options are not far). The hotel is a very normal Hampton Inn, clean if a little threadbare. Desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping (every other day) does a nice job. Breakfast includes hot options including eggs, waffles, and oatmeal, as well as yogurt and fresh fruit. The outdoor pool area was nice, but the water was not heated, so too cold to swim. No views of anything other than roads and parking lots. A little pricey for a basic hotel, but no complaints.

This is going to be detailed but some things need to be addressed at this location to the General Manager. My stay itself was great up until the day of my departure. Let me start with all of the good first. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast was great with plenty of variety. This Hampton Inn is in a great location as there is Applebee's next door and a 7/11 close by as well. This property is very well maintained and up to date. Also, Your breakfast attendant is very sweet and works very hard. She needs more credit for the job she does. Now, for the disappointing experience I encountered on my departure day. I am also going to note that I will be reaching out to Hilton Honors about this also and taking it as far as it needs to go because wrong is wrong at the end of the day. I came down for breakfast and was eating. Everything was good. Breakfast was nice and hot. The breakfast attendant was doing an awesome job keeping up with everything and was very nice with a great attitude for her job. I don't know what went wrong but your front desk agent left the front desk and went into the breakfast area and started yelling and screaming at your breakfast attendant. He was very nasty towards her and she wasn't doing anything wrong. I could hear your breakfast attendant tell him to be quiet because there were guests and he yelled again to her saying you don't tell me to shut up. That's when I stepped in and told your front desk agent not to speak to her like that and he yelled at me and told me to shut the hell up and get out of the breakfast area. I did not catch this guy's name but he's a black guy that works mornings and looks like he wears a wig or toupee. I hope this is not how this breakfast attendant is treated daily because this was absolutely disgusting. I want the General Manager to know because this front desk agent is not worthy of the Hilton brand and I stay at Hilton hotels year round!
