I had such a wonderful experience at the pool at Marriott Stanton South Beach, and I have to give a special thank you to Tay’Jah! She was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, she was attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional. Tay’Jah made sure we were comfortable, checked in on us consistently, and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Her positive attitude and warm personality truly elevated our day at the pool. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about guests having a great experience, and she definitely does. Because of Tay’Jah, our pool day was relaxing, enjoyable, and memorable. Marriott is lucky to have her! Mr & Mrs. Mendez 😊

“Not worth the money”

We stayed here from March 13-15, 2026. We are Lifetime Platinum Elite members, but we were treated as if we were not even members. The experience started great. Alex, at the valet, was courteous, helpful, and infectiously happy which started our vacation with a great vibe. He immediately took care of our bags and got them delivered to our room. The lady at the front desk, I am so sorry, I cannot remember her name, was nice but I have to say that there was no mention of our Lifetime Platinum Elite status, no thank you, and no offer to upgrade, or explanation of why it couldn't be done. We got two tiny bottles of water and two packaged sangrias. I am not sure if that was the "welcome gift" we are supposed to get; I will assume it was. Moving on to the hotel itself, the lobby says absolutely nothing. They have a Japanese restaurant and a Mexican restaurant in the hotel. Both close at 9 p.m. and I am assuming they do not serve breakfast since we were not offered a complimentary breakfast as our status describes. There is no lounge so that's that. The pool area is less than desirable, but the service was good and drinks were delicious. Now to the rooms, no glasses (only paper cups), not enough lighting or mirrors, bathroom doors is a barn door that doesn't close all the way, and it doesn't lock. In our room, 703, the "ocean view" balcony room had no balcony, just a sliding door with an approximately 2 ft space and a rail; it was very bizarre. There is nothing about that room that says "resort." On our last night, the night of March 14th, after coming back from dinner and before we went to find a place to have a drink (since the hotel doesn't have any), we stopped by the hotel to ask for a late checkout which is supposed to be guaranteed at 4 p.m. for Platinum Elite members. We walked in and there was one man at the desk and on his cell phone. He didn't even look at us, greet us, or ask us if he could help us.... he did nothing at all. I approached the desk, stood there until he was done with whatever he was doing in his cell phone and finally he acknowledged me. I asked him for a late checkout and, without asking my room number, my name, or my member status, and without even looking through the computer (or at least pretend to), he immediately said that they don't offer that and he continued to do what he was doing. I was livid but we walked away and I just called in the morning to ask again; even though they only gave us until 12:30 p.m. on a SUNDAY, at least they did something. I called for my car and for someone to come get our bags and waited until after 12:30 p.m.; they finally came after my second call. The lobby at checkout was a madhouse, tons of people hanging around that small space trying to physically check out but again, the guys are the valet were helpful, friendly, and almost made me forget of our experience. So, in conclusion, I was not impressed with my stay, especially for a hotel that charged $1867 for a 2-night stay (that included resort fees) in a room like ours with an "ocean view." I do not recommend Marriot Stanton in South Beach Miami and will rather go back and stay at the Hilton Bentley next time.
