We have recently returned from a 7 night stay from England. 2 adults and 2 teens. Room was clean and modern and housekeeping came round everyday. We was in block 2. Pool and facilities where great and well maintained. Quiet at night, felt safe and security always around. Friendly , helpful staff. We used the universal shuttles and had no issues. Deposit was returned very quickly after leaving. Very affordable to stay. I was worried at first as saw some negative reviews but we had a great time and was very happy with everything. No issues at all and if we ever return to Orlando we would absolutely stay here again.

I absolutely dreaded staying here due to the poor reviews, but after staying here it’s clear that they are being very dramatic or maybe a bit snobby. I’d like to start by noting we paid less than £1000 for two weeks here as a couple, that’s including the security deposit and resort fees totalling around $325. So we never had particularly high expectations for the price. Yes it’s giving motel vibes, but for the price point what exactly can you expect? The room was large, with a huge comfy king size bed. The room included plenty of storage like wardrobe space and drawers, as well as space to keep our suitcases. A coffee machine was included too, with coffee bags, creamers and sugars replenished every 4 days. There was also a microwave and fridge, which kept our drinks amazingly cold. Plenty of plug sockets and USB ports, with some each side of the bed on the bedside tables. The air conditioning was excellent and can be adjusted to preference, but quite noisy due to being dated. However, we’re quite heavy sleepers so didn’t affect us, maybe take earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The bathroom came equipped with a hairdryer which was surprisingly okay, with small toiletries including soap bars, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The shower had great pressure and was a good temperature. Towels were replaced whenever we left them on the floor, and toilet roll was replenished when needed. Housekeeping came every day to replenish towels, toilet roll, and make our bed. Every 4 days you get a full room clean including mopping and fresh sheets. Despite the room being mopped on multiple occasions (we could see the floor was damp when we arrived back), the floor was still incredibly dirty! Maybe they’re using dirty water to mop?? As after spending as little as 5 minutes in the room, the bottom of my white socks were very dirty (noticed in a lot of other reviews). This isn’t ideal by any means, but I just made sure to wear my crocs/flip flops when walking around the room. Other than this, the room was clean, but needs a bit of TLC. Didn’t use the pool or other leisure/food facilities, so can’t comment on these unfortunately. Staff that we encountered were friendly. We used the complimentary disney shuttle once, the driver, Patrick, was great. It looked a little sketchy when he pulled up to pick us up from the park, but all was good and he was a good guy. We would’ve used this service more but the timings aren’t great. Ubers to disney were anywhere between $11-20, depending on the park and time. Location on I drive is excellent with so many restaurants around us. Often smelt weed in the evenings but this doesn’t bother us too much, no different from being in the UK lol. Overall, for the price, it was perfect for us. A great base with a comfy bed, good shower, and air con. We’d 100% stay here again when visiting Orlando, even with the dirty floor! We stayed at Avanti International Resort for two weeks and, overall, it made a good base for our Disney holiday. The first receptionist we encountered was very blunt, and we were also surprised by a $100 room deposit on top of the fees, which we hadn’t been told about (this could have just been our travel agent’s fault.) Our room was serviced every day with the beds made, bins emptied, towels changed, and the floors swept. The air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the room nice and cool, which was a lifesaver in the Florida heat. The only downside was that the floors still left your bare feet black, even after being cleaned. We were travelling with a young child who likes to make a run for it, and one thing we found was that there was no way to secure the room door from the inside to stop a clever child from opening it. This led to a few unexpected sprints down the balcony in our underwear in the heat! We managed, but it's something families with young children should be aware of. We also had quite a few small sewer flies in the bathroom. Keeping the bathroom door closed helped, but they kept coming back. This may just be a Florida thing, and while it was a bit annoying, it wasn't a major issue. The location is excellent, with plenty of places to eat nearby, including a 24-hour Denny's directly across the road. Ubers to the Disney parks were easy to get and reasonably priced, although the cost does add up over a two-week stay. The only other negative was the price of drinks at the on-site bar. I only bought a Red Bull, and even that felt quite expensive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It isn't a luxury resort, but if you're looking for a clean, comfortable base in a great location for visiting the parks, it's a solid choice.
