Our stay at the Crowne Plaza started out subpar , the location was very convenient in as it was not far from any place you would like to go in the downtown area. However, the front desk associates were not very welcoming unless spoken to first , I can't group them all in one category as there were different attendants who were more communal. The ambiance is nice at the entrance , the food is delicious ! Special thanks to Gaby our waitress ( please edit her name tag to the correct spelling , she deserves to be known by her proper name) . Gaby went above and beyond with her service , her attention to detail and enthusiastic energy made our meal even more memorable. Oscar was an exceptional bartender , he is humorous which encourages you to come back just to talk to him and maybe grab a drink per the occasion . Be careful though , the smaller the drink the bigger the punch ! Both of these staff made our experience much more enjoyable, five stars for the both of them . Nonetheless, back to the overall layout of the rooms . The doors have a motel look to them , however the inside is very nice , showers could use more compartments to hold soaps or rags. The carpets could also use a change as they appeared shredded in some areas . Still, housekeeping was very attentive and cleanly , they honor the do not disturb signs which is also a plus ! The bed is super soft and the TV has several channels . The inside of the rooms are pretty soundproof. On the other hand, you can hear the entire hall opening and slamming doors. We enjoyed the room , however they could use a good renovation as certain things do appear dated especially walk ways leading to your room, which can feel like the backrooms . WARNING: Please be aware of the $225 deposit , don't get duped like we were .

I want to first share that all of my interactions with hotel staff were nice, everyone was kind. The reason I give 3/5 is based on some situations. I had called the day before to ask that my 3 back to back reservations put in the same room (all booked in same category). I arrived very early and completed preliminary check-in. Advised the FD agents of the call I made the day before and they were nice and said they would work on it, seeming as if they didn’t see any comments that I requested to be there. I came back later and was informed that I got a Diamond upgrade which was great. I got to my room and everything seemed clean in the kitchenette but under the desk as I am setting up my computer I found a pill and looked it up on Google images, it was a prescription muscle relaxer. I go into the bedroom and I see on the dresser countertop a strip of a sticky lint roller with a lot of very long hairs stuck to it just sitting there. In the bathroom I found several long hairs that are clearly visible on the side of the tub, and one of the bulbs in the bathroom is flashing like a strobe light - it cannot be missed. On the morning of my part 2 reservation I go to the FD to check into my next res and am helped by Crystal - I let her know and show her the pictures/videos of what was in the room and asked that she just shares what I showed her with housekeeping as I’m sure they would want to know. In that moment she did offer to send up housekeeping to address those things, but I did decline because I just took out the light bulb and can put the other things in the trash. The part that did shock me is that housekeeping management never took the time to just even call me and address it I know my phone number is on file as FD agents confirmed it. This is a nicer property and I would have expected that kind of follow up from leadership. I also want to call out I have my DnD on the door as I like to help lighten the workload for housekeeping staff as I know their work is not easy. The restaurant for breakfast has been nice, and food is great quality! The one thing I found weird was that I ordered the breakfast flatbread from the menu, and ate half of it. I asked for a box and the server said “management doesn’t allow for to-go boxes anymore”. That’s weird. The server suggested I go grab a small plate from where they were serving continental breakfast and could take my leftovers up to the room that way, so I did but now my food is just on a plate in my mini fridge. Just give out to-go boxes management.
