Spent 6 nights here as part of a 9 night stay(stayed in coronado springs beforehand) and the resort blew us away. It's absolutely stunning. The lobby in particular is just beautiful, the landscaping around the resort is well maintained and in keeping with the theming and it just has a lovely calming vibe to it. Coronado springs is a large busy resort so this was a welcome change and especially after coming back from a long day out. The rooms are quite basic but we rarely spent much time in there anyway, they were clean and modern. Our view in the daytime wasnt great, a car park, a roof, some buildings used by the staff and the contemporary resort. But in the evening, we were spoilt with gorgeous sunsets and the magic kingdom fireworks. We couldn't quite see the castle through the trees. Room 4038. The food options are OK. Lunch and dinner options were far better than breakfast but for the short stay we had, it was good food. Geyser point is a great place to have food or a drink with a beautiful view. Overall we had a wonderful stay, it is expensive and more than we usually pay but we'll definitely try and fit another stay here for our next trip to Orlando.

We stayed in a 2-Bedroom Villa at Copper Creek at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and overall had a really great stay. There was construction/refurbishment happening during our trip outside. Originally it was supposed to be completed before we arrived, but the timeline got delayed. Thankfully, it only caused a pretty minor inconvenience, mainly the boat dock route being a little longer than normal (but it was still open). Now onto the details! Pros: The Copper Creek Villas are beautiful. The rooms have been recently refreshed and felt updated while still fitting the Wilderness Lodge theme perfectly. The bathrooms were spacious, and the soaking tub in the primary bathroom was amazing after long park days. We stayed on the second-to-top floor, which ended up being perfect because we had a large overhang over our balcony that gave us extra shade and coverage. Our room overlooked the Boulder Ridge pool, which we loved because it was much quieter (but you aren't going to see fireworks). The resort itself is gorgeous. One thing I really appreciated was how much of the property has covered walkways or is indoors, even walking to the buses. It’s Disney… it rains. One thing I disliked at the Grand Floridian in the past was having to walk outside in the rain if you weren’t staying in the main building. Wilderness Lodge felt much more convenient in that regard. The boat rides to Magic Kingdom and the neighboring resorts were so convenient, and we never waited long for a boat to arrive. Cons: The pools weren’t my favorite compared to some other Disney resorts, although they were still nice overall. I thought it was odd that the pool geared more toward children didn’t have a zero-entry area, but it wasn’t a huge issue because we spent a lot of time at the quieter Boulder Ridge pool instead. The water slide also wasn’t as exciting as some of the other Disney resort slides, though the kids’ splash/play area was very nice. The EPCOT bus sharing with Fort Wilderness was probably my biggest complaint. Fort Wilderness is huge, and at the end of the night (and even some afternoons), the buses were packed with people standing almost every ride. These resorts really should have separate buses given the size of both properties. We shared with the Contemporary for Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom as well, but only during less busy mid-day times, mornings were separate and much smoother. Food-wise, the quick service left a little to be desired for us. I appreciated that they offered different options, but if you’re not really into BBQ or heavier meat-focused meals, choices felt somewhat limited. I just wish there were a few more basic options. That said, Geyser Point was absolutely delicious and definitely worth ordering from, even though it costs a bit more. Overall, Wilderness Lodge is a stunning resort and we truly enjoyed our stay. We would absolutely come back one day, although it may not be our very next Disney resort stay simply because there are a few other resorts we personally enjoy a little more.

“Fireworks view let down”

We just returned from our 2026 Disney World trip and stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. We absolutely loved the resort! It was very clean, the guest services were top-notch, and everyone was so courteous and helpful. Staying inside the Disney bubble is a must-do, and the bus transportation was so easy—it wasn’t even a long walk from the hotel entrance. We decided to upgrade to the fireworks view room, which saw every night……but we also ended up looking out onto the service area for the hotel’s trash bins, air conditioning units and vents. It was a bit of a letdown because we could hear the trucks backing up every morning at 5:00 a.m. (beep beep beep!), which is the last thing you want to hear after a long day at the parks. It wasn’t the most beautiful or peaceful view. We couldn’t even use the balcony because of the noise, which was a real disappointment, especially since we paid for the room upgrade. I would suggest asking for a room away from that service area, or you will be wasting your money.

We’ve been staying at Walt Disney World for over 10 years—and for me, it goes back even further. My first visit to Disneyland in 1978 as a four-year-old and my parents brought us nearly every other year to WDW throughout the ’80s and ’90s. As an adult, I continued the tradition, eventually introducing my spouse—and now our son—who has grown up with Disney as part of his childhood. Over the years, we’ve experienced all resort tiers—Value, Moderate, and Deluxe. Our go-to has always been Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, but this trip we decided to try something new and stay closer to Magic Kingdom at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype. Trip Dates: April 18–25, 2026 The Pros: *The lobby is stunning—truly grand and one of the most impressive spaces on Disney property. *The landscaping is exceptional and does a great job capturing the feel of the Pacific Northwest. *The cabins nearby are absolutely beautiful and feel like true luxury accommodations. *The staff was outstanding—consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. *There is a quiet pool area that, while small, was relaxing. *Parking was easy and convenient. The Cons: *The main pool area is much smaller than advertised. The promotional photos clearly use wide-angle lenses, making the space look far larger than it actually is. In reality, the U-shaped pool feels cramped—more like a kiddie pool than a Deluxe resort feature. *While the lobby impresses, the hallways and room areas feel dated and uninspired—very beige, very plain, and more like a convention hotel than a premium Disney experience. *The rooms are small and minimally themed. Aside from a subtle wood-grain lighting feature, there’s little that reflects the immersive storytelling Disney is known for—especially at this price point. * Our room was not serviced for the first 3 days of our trip. I had to request a room cleaning twice - once by phone and then I had to goto to the front desk to make the requestin person. *Transportation was a major downside. The boat launch to Magic Kingdom was closed during our stay, leaving only bus or car options. The bus ride took 15–20 minutes, which feels excessive given how close the park is. Driving to Magic Kingdom took about 10 minutes but was inconvenient due to the routing. *Road access is frustrating. There’s no direct route to the Transportation and Ticket Center—you have to get on the highway and take a U-turn roughly a mile down the road. For a resort this close to Magic Kingdom, it feels like a major oversight. *Noise and crowding were noticeable. While the rooms themselves were quiet, the courtyard and common areas were consistently busy and loud. It often felt overcrowded, to the point where I avoided elevators just to find a bit of peace. *The overall design of the main hotel feels like it prioritizes capacity over experience, especially when compared to the cabins, which highlight what the resort could have been. *Dining options were fine, but nothing particularly memorable compared to other Deluxe resorts. Final Thoughts: Wilderness Lodge has some standout features—particularly the lobby, grounds, and service—but overall, it fell short of expectations for a Deluxe resort. Compared to Animal Kingdom Lodge, it lacks the same level of immersion, uniqueness, and “wow” factor. It’s not a bad resort—but given the price and reputation, we expected much more.
