Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista is an older property but what it is lacking in terms of modern decor (rooms were still comfortable and clean), it makes up for with the most pleasant, helpful and accommodating staff. I would especially like to recognize Veronica, Isaiah and Carmen. Veronica is amazing! She is calm under pressure and will go above and beyond to assist guests and ensure that they have what they need. This was made evident from the beginning and throughout my stay, when she needed to assist one of my friends with resolving a booking issue with a third party who were paid but had failed to make the reservation. Veronica remained calm as they worked through the very tense situation which took up to an hour to resolve and she sought to have the third party provide some incentive for the inconvenience and upset that they had caused to the guest. Throughout the rest of the stay, she attended to any issues promptly and always maintained a pleasant and welcoming demeanor. Isaiah is a gem. He is very pleasant and courteous, always with a smile and a kind word. He checked me in and helped me to find my packages, after Amazon split my order and shipped as multiple orders. We met on a very busy day and he did a good job trying to address everyone's needs without them having to wait too long. Carmen was especially wonderful with helping my friend locate a 3 packages which was sent to the wrong hotel. She called and checked on the order and though the hotel could only confirm one, she encouraged us to ask them to double check when we went to the collect. We were able to locate all the packages at the other hotel and when she saw us next, before we could update her, she had remembered and asked if we were able to find our packages. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and friendly and though my stay was short, the memory of such great customer service will live on. While the purpose of my trip was not for theme parks and other such adventures, they are in close proximity along with shopping outlets. There are also several restaurants right outside the doors and across the street. We were told that upgrades were coming to the hotel but regardless, I would stay again and I would recommend as a place to stay.
