⸻ We stayed here in 2019 and were thoroughly impressed—so much so that I promised myself I’d return when the opportunity arose. I’m very glad I did. The hotel kindly honoured my request for a specific room with a superb view of the SeaWorld rollercoasters. The room itself was absolutely fine. Over the past few years we’ve stayed in premium Universal hotels such as Hard Rock and Royal Pacific, and honestly I felt just as comfortable here during a demanding 14-night stay—at probably half the price. In some areas it even beats those hotels: the Wi-Fi was noticeably better, and the free breakfasts are excellent and save a small fortune. I also loved the coffee machine—free, plentiful, and perfect to take back to the room after a long day in the parks. Great for coffee addicts like us, and again very cost-effective. The pools are basic but perfectly adequate, with the added bonus of access to the adjoining hotel’s pool when the shade shifts around the buildings. My only gripe is the same as last time: the TVs use a generic remote with only basic functions (channel and volume up/down), no menu access, and no directional buttons. This means you can’t check what’s on or quickly find a channel, and connecting a USB stick, laptop, Fire Stick, etc., is impossible. It’s a small but very frustrating issue that could easily be fixed. We walked to all the nearby parks—about 15 minutes to Discovery Cove and Aquatica, and around 25 minutes to SeaWorld—though the hotel also offers transportation if you prefer. I also have to praise the reception area and the first-floor restrooms: always clean, comfortable, and clearly well looked after. A real credit to the staff. Will I return? Almost certainly. This place is a hidden gem, particularly for us Brits, as most guests seem to be Latino or American. I’m so glad I did my research back in 2019 and found it. No hidden extras either—no resort fees, and parking charges didn’t apply to us as we don’t drive in the USA. I honestly can’t believe people choose the usual International Drive hotels just to save money when this place easily beats them on both price and quality.
