We stayed here for a few nights while visiting Universal Orlando. Overall, it was a decent stay, but I left feeling that the hotel has some operational issues that keep it from being a great one. The best part of the stay was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. As a Hyatt Globalist, we were upgraded to a pool-view room, which also gave us a nice view of the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT fireworks at night. The property itself is beautiful, although parts of it are starting to show their age. Our room was clean, comfortable, and everything worked as expected. Where things started to fall apart was whenever the hotel got busy. The elevators were consistently slow and packed. On our last morning there appeared to be a large dance competition staying at the hotel. We went to breakfast around 9:00 a.m. and ended up sitting at the bar because there were no available tables. Service was slow, many of the pastries were already gone, and the whole restaurant felt overwhelmed. I understand hotels host events, but large groups should probably have their own breakfast setup in a ballroom or conference area instead of overwhelming the main restaurant. The pool is beautiful, but the chair situation could be managed much better. Many chairs were “reserved” for hours with nothing more than towels or a bag sitting on them. I also noticed the pool bar serving a few guests who had clearly had enough. Wi-Fi was another disappointment. It was unreliable throughout our stay, which is something I’d expect to work better at a resort of this caliber. One other thing that surprised me was the entrance gate. If one car is checking in, everyone behind them has to wait, even if they’re already registered guests. It seems like a simple operational change could make arrivals much smoother. Despite the issues, we still enjoyed our stay thanks to the employees. They’re doing a great job. My concerns are really with how the resort operates when occupancy is high. I’d consider staying again, but I’d also look at other Hyatt options before making that decision.

Checked in on the 01.07. 2026 for a family celebration and family holiday to Disney. On first impression the hotel is very impressive with what seem to be good facilities. However, a visit to the onsite deli on our first day, change our opinion of the amenities at the hotel. During our stay, they hosted a gymnastics competition followed immediately by a ballroom dancing competition. The deli was virtually inaccessible between 6:30-9:30 each morning where the queue snaked around the deli whilst the ‘conference’ attendees queued for their breakfasts and coffees. There is no additional Starbucks reserved within the conference area for specific use in that area which was disappointing and inadequate for the size of hotel and number of guests present. The pools are lovely, but the pool area is shocking, if you would like to have a lounger with a parasol, make sure you’re up at crack o’clock, by 8:30 for the smaller pool area and by 9 for all other areas, otherwise you will have no shade and possibly no lounger for the day. People reserve the loungers from 6:30-7am and no attempt by the hotel to remove towels from reserved seating despite some of these remaining unused until mid afternoon and people actually at the pool being unable to find spaces to sit. The lifts are a whole different kettle of fish, I have never stayed in a hotel where I have joined a queue to access the lifts manned by hotel staff to coordinate the huge queue waiting in the lobby. The staff are absolutely lovely and I cannot fault anyone one of them and they cannot do enough to help. The breakfast are delicious albeit pricey. Overall, the facilities are inadequate to accommodate the number of guests within the resort.

Here at the moment. I have stayed at many Hyatt hotels and have been disappointed with this one. Positives- Staff are lovely. Hotel is clean and rooms are a good size. Negatives- Hotel is far too busy. Dance and Gymnastics groups staying here and over occupying rooms bringing their own sleeping bags etc. Struggle to get loungers with shade after 9 am, elevator queue is a joke. Coffee/ marketplace queue in the morning can take 30 mins to get your order. $13 for a Smores kit but no designated fire pits for doing this ( firepits off the bar area are always occupied by people enjoying a drink). Rooms could do with more storage and hooks as not enough for a family room. There is some free transportation to Disney but not all the parks and the times dont allow for you to be there from opening until closing time. .

The resort wasn’t horrible but not what I expected honestly. The few restaurants they had were ok. Wish they had more options. We went for an evening swim and all the towels were gone. There wasn’t really anything that impressed or wowed me. The hotels clean overall but even with just myself and husband I would have rather gone to a different resort with more amenities. Definitely won’t bring my kids here. They would be so bored.
