Travel advisor, Alex Deluca, from travelmation was outstanding!! She planned a Disney trip for my son and I that was so amazing that we’ll have memories to last a lifetime. My son has severe intellectual disabilities and is 23 years of age and had never been on a vacation his entire life. It had also been 25 years since my last vacation and so many things have changed that I wouldn’t have known where to begin. Alex planned the flight, the hotel, Disney parks, uber information, meals, swimming, with dolphins, rides, events, shopping ideas, shows and many more activities and suggestions for things to do while in Orlando. She responded to texts, emails, and phone calls in a timely manner and always made herself available. She was professional, emphatic, kind and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Alex for anyone looking for assistance in planning a vacation and if I ever have the opportunity to go on another trip, she will definitely be the one I call for help. “Perfection”

What a beautiful hotel with an incredible staff. The pool area is gorgeous, well landscaped and spacious. Plenty of chairs available. Splash pad as well as pool with a water slide. The rooms are outstanding. Very clean and comfortable beds. We had a two room kids suite. The convenience of having a boat launch to Universal is a tremendous benefit. You can also walk or take a bus.

“Great Base for Universal”

I will start with the only real negative - lack of soundproofing around the door, which meant I was woken early every morning by other guests banging their doors (also on a few occasions at night, when inconsiderate people walked/ran past talking loudly/shouting/screaming). Could a fireproof curtain be installed to soften sounds? We had interconnecting rooms on the top floor of Guest House 3 which worked well and is a great location - an excellent view of the lagoon and the rides. Loved watching the storms and the fireworks! I preferred our room, as we had an enclosed walk-in shower whereas our children had a shallow bath shower with a curtain. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. A good housekeeping service every day with supplies replenished. Nice products. Couldn’t ask for more really. I liked the comfy sofa. If being picky, the hairdryer lacks power. (We chose not to use the water at $8 a bottle, preferring to stock up at the supermarket). The pool is nice - very shallow so good for children (sadly some of whom were not well-supervised by parents) - and there is a small spa pool for lovely relaxation. Towels are provided and there is a bar for some good cocktails. I enjoyed a game of table tennis with my children. There is also an arcade and a gym which looked well-equipped. We ate in the Strong Water Tavern one night. Food is tapas style and, along with everything Universal, expensive. It was quite nice but nothing stand-out. There is an amazing selection of drinks. I had a Mai Tai which packed quite a punch! You are looking at $18 plus for anything. We didn’t try the Amatista Cookhouse (breakfast buffet is $39 per person…). The New Dutch Trading Co. is handy but expensive (ie $12 for a turkey sandwich). The hot food didn’t look appealing. I did enjoy a few cinnamon buns here. There is a well-stocked Universal shop with a broad selection of goodies to buy (if you haven’t indulged enough in the many shops in the parks!). The hotel staff are without exception pleasant and hardworking, even under pressure - this is a busy hotel, with at least two conferences while we stayed. Sapphire Falls should be proud of its workforce. This a great base from which to explore the parks, with free boats to City Walk every 15-20 minutes (except in bad weather, when you can walk it in around 10 minutes). The boats can get busy as they are used by other hotel guests (ie Aventura across the road). Epic is reachable by free bus shuttle (a drive of approximately 15 minutes). All in all, a great stay!
