Planned a last minute trip to Orlando over Easter break and, since we’ve only ever stayed on Disney property, I was a little hesitant to try something different, especially with such mixed reviews. However, this hotel truly exceeded our expectations. Every person we encountered from housekeeping, bartenders, front desk etc were so kind and friendly. The location is excellent, less than a 10-minute drive to Disney Springs and the parks, which made getting around very easy. The layout fit our family of 6 perfectly with a master bedroom & bath, another bedroom with 1 bed and smaller sofa bed, second bathroom and a pull out sofa in the living room. Washer and dryer were a huge plus (which I did not see on marriot website) dining table to fit 6 and a full kitchen (could have used more than 1 skillet and definitely needed a cookie sheet, was tough to make a big breakfast!) The room looked as if it had been recently remodeled, though the bathroom finishes felt a bit rushed. The master bathroom lighting was very dim, far too dark, and it could really use better fixtures. Adding hand towel hooks would also be helpful, and the closet could use lighting as well. Other than that it was very clean and looked nearly new. We preferred the smaller pool which was walking distance to our hotel room as it was quiet and not mobbed however it’s not heated so once the sun went down it was too cold to swim in. We also visited the Marriott’s World Center pool at night (which was a short drive, parking is confusing) it was heated and has a lively atmosphere with music, TVs, and food/drink service. It was quite crowded and loud both nights we went, and cabanas/chairs were fully booked days in advance. Drinks are on the pricey side (about $50 for 2 cocktails and a non-alcoholic drink). We were offered housekeeping service on our 2 or 3rd day (which I declined), and another day I requested laundry detergent to be left outside, but the room was cleaned while we were out anyway. Parking is $30 per night (note: older reviews mention free parking however it is stated on marriot website) At night, we sometimes had to park a few buildings away, but during the day there was plenty of availability. Noise was minimal, walls did not seem thin, and we only occasionally heard light movement from above. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely consider staying here again.

“Great Experience!”

Great experience. Stayed in one of the renovated 2 bedroom villas and zero complaints. Very new and clean. Staff was pleasant. In a great location just down the street from plenty of restaurants.
