“Great conference hotel for both on-site and adjacent convention center”

Rosen Centre was the conference site for a business trip. The room was nice with tasteful amenities like a bedside USB A & C port and in-room refrigerator (not available at all resort hotels, so they can push you to spend more on food & beverage). The outdoor pool space was clean, and the crew was hard at work cleaning and setting up the area every morning. Meeting rooms were well laid out, with good seating and visibility. Location was easy to access from the MCO airport, and the rooms were quiet enough for a good night's sleep. They offer a shuttle to some of the theme parks, and an I-drive trolley pickup/dropoff site is literally adjacent to the front parking lot, making it easy to access local shops, restaurants, and Sea World without needing a car or paying for a taxi/uber to get anywhere.

We have stayed at Rosen Centre Hotel a few times over the last few years and always enjoy our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, no complaints there at all. We have stayed at Rosen Centre Hotel a few times over the last few years and always enjoy our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, no complaints there at all. We had complimentary self parking as part of our British Airways package which was great. We know this hotel has conferences going on and up until this visit that didn't give us any problems but this time there was a huge conference that took over all communal spaces. The pool and surrounding areas closed off for a day and evening, large lobby area filled with food tables and people standing around blocking the way through for hotel guests. It just took the shine off of what is usually a really lovely stay in a lovely hotel.

I’ve always had a soft spot for the Rosen Centre. Back in 2000, it felt iconic — towering over International Drive with its fountains and art‑deco charm. I genuinely thought it was the best‑looking hotel in the area. The interior still has appeal, and our room was pleasant, though more average than classy. Storage was a real limitation: just an average‑size wardrobe and a single drawer, which isn’t ideal for two weeks’ worth of clothes for a family of three. The bathroom pipework also made strange “leaking” sounds, and whenever the neighbours showered, the vibration carried straight into our room. Housekeeping were friendly and hardworking, but despite knowing we were a family of three, they consistently left only two cups and two coffees. It became a daily routine to call amenities for an extra cup and coffee pod — something many hotels get right automatically. Where the hotel struggled most was during the back‑to‑back conferences and events. From the moment we arrived — during the first wave of dancers — it already felt as though regular paying guests were secondary. A dance competition ran from Thursday to Sunday, followed immediately by a business conference on Monday, and the hotel’s focus shifted almost entirely toward these large groups. The pool was closed at 2pm for the conference without any notice whatsoever. No message, no sign, no heads‑up at check‑in. We only found out the next day that we could have used a sister property’s pool instead, which was frustrating because that information would have made a real difference. Security for the event felt irrelevant rather than reassuring. We were able to walk straight into the corporate party area — something that simply should not happen. Security should not be allowing general hotel guests to join a private corporate event, and we certainly shouldn’t have been offered food and drinks paid for by a company we weren’t part of. Even though it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing on the surface, it highlighted how loosely the event was being managed. I never felt unsafe, but the lack of control was obvious. The following morning, the pool area had been cleaned beautifully — but 90% of the sunbeds were still sitting in the car park. They didn’t begin returning them to the poolside until guests specifically asked for them, and only then did they start to reappear around mid‑morning. It genuinely made me wonder whether they would have bothered at all if nobody had spoken up. Then on Thursday, a second wave of dancers and cheerleaders arrived for another Thursday‑to‑Sunday event, and the hotel slipped straight back into full event‑mode again. For regular guests, it often felt like we were fitting around the conferences rather than the other way around. Would I stay again? Yes — but sadly, it’s no longer my first choice.
